Me I like a little of most music but some I just can't understand. I can understand some rap but when they start talking dirty I will turn it off. But I do like all kinds of music. The 70's was my era. But didn't listen to much of it back then. My first ex would get mad if I turned the station to other then country. So this made me not like it then. But I have quite a few country songs I really like. In the 80's I was turned onto Alice Cooper, Janice Joplin, Pink Floyd and much much more. I don't like any music up loud for too long I think it isn't good for you. Oh Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Phil Collins, and AC/DC. So you see I like all kinds of music. What is your taste in music? Please share.

Hi there, I like traditional music because my parents always play this kind of music since I was a little kid. I admit that my greatest influence of listening music is my parents, I like the old generation of music and I dont like the latest generation of music, I know some of new music such as Adele but sometime I only know the singer but Im not familiar with their songs. I know who is lady gaga, chris brown, justin bieber, etc but I dont know their songs (maybe only know 1-2 songs but not all), Im more familiar with dream theater, metallica, pink floyd, silverchair, etc. I dont like rap music, i think because i find its difficult to understand the song.

Hi Tamosree what made you like the old generation music? I personally think the oldies music has better lyric than nowadays music, not many latest song has good lyric only some. Well I think the latest music is more about quantity and less quality than the oldies song, I cant generate all latest song the same but Im speaking based on the local songs in my country. I find some local singers doesnt have quality to be a singer but they sing because they think they can, they dont have the voice, they only good looking but they simply cannot sing at all. That is why I dont like listening to my generation of music. I grow up with music, I played music instrument when I was a little kid so I have my own taste of music. what about you tamosree? why do you like old generation music and what are the oldies songs or singers you like? can you name it?

I like also those artists you mentioned because like you 70's was also my era. But to top them all I love mellow jazz i just don't like rock or classical jazz. Kenny G,Jim Chappel, Bob James, Earl Klugh and more and on vocal I like to hear the music of Michael Franks, Kenny Rankin. There are lot more but these guys come quickly on my mind whenever I would be asked of musical artists. Do you believe that music is the language of our soul? Thanks Mobhomeir here 041612

I mostly listen to '60s, '70s, and '80s rock and especially garage and punk rock. I love finding more obscure music (because I get tired of hearing those same rock songs over and over and over) either no one cares about or no one has ever heard of; the more unknown (and experimental or what some people call "odd") the band, the better! My favorite band is Richard Hell and the Voidoids and I could listen to their Blank Generation album religiously... some of my other favorite bands that I listen to almost all the time are The Doors, The Stooges, Fatal Flowers, The Clash, and Shine. :) With all that being said, I will listen to pretty much anything... I just don't like that typical bubblegum-pop break-up (or that typical bubblegum-pop "I'm dreaming of you, girl/boy") song, because there's a Taylor Swift song for that. Or when singers belt out "oOoOoOoOoOoO" and "oh-ee-oh-ee-oh-ee-oh!" for like five straight minutes.

I also don't like country, but for a different reason. As for the genres, I love them all, from rock to classical and of course Hebraic. All the music, other than classical, are about my faith, I don't listen to secular music, except a few exceptions where a secular artist sings about the Creator. :)

My favorite kind of music is a variety as well including metal, dubstep, trip hop, trance, a little bit of hip hop/rap, nu gaze, and plenty of others. I enjoy playing music and writing music as well so the more I listen to the more I can incorporate into my own personal style. Some of my favorite bands include Deftones, Tool, Korn, Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Ill Nino, Skindred, CKY, and plenty of others, those are my favorite metal bands. As for trip hop my favorite bands include Portishead, Elsiane, Morcheeba, Purity Ring, Halou, and others as well. My favorite hip hop artists include Aesop Rock, Tricky, and Tech N9ne. And my favorite nu gaze includes Team Sleep, Silversun Pickups, and others as well. Music is incredible and I feel gifted to have it and to have found all the artists that I listen to.

Ask something easier :). I listen to music from all genres... of course there are genres and subgenres which aren't my cup of tea (gangsta rap, screaming and rattling kind of metal, hardtechno and that kind of punk-rovk where the singer has a really high-pitched and sharp voice). I have a soft spot for musicals, alternative/britpop, classic rock, new-wave rock, swing, quality pop and mixed genres (folkpop, electrorock, classical mixed with electronic music etc.). I'm trying to collect a few more-known acts I like (because as a Hungarian, I listen to lots of Hungarian music and there are a bunch of obscure other European acts I love), but it still wouldn't be all of them. Queen, Keane, Muse, Sting, Train, Sunrise Avenue, The Rasmus, The Killers, Daniel Powter, James Blunt, Rob Thomas and Matchbox 20, Adele, Enya... the list goes on and on :).
