In this financial and energy crises we experienced. We are encourage to use all our resources wisely, and for me some of the many things I will have to do is to to turn off my computer or any appliances not in use for 20 minutes or longer, and to always keep light bulbs or fluorescent lamp clean. How about you? what will you do in this time of crises?

Other then main appliances I unplug everything that is not in use. I know it is a little annoying when you have to let the modem or the satellite boot up but everyone is used to it now and we have been one of the lowest users of electric in our area for two years now. We won a pack of light bulbs last year for being in the top five for our town (from our electric company they have a program to get you to use less.)

The electric company in your area is in the right track of business. Hope our electric company here will adopt that program; so that the consumers will be more encourage to being an energy saver.

My family and i have been saving energy without being asked.. But sometimes i overdo it, i even unplug the tv when it is not in use and my parents get angry..since hey will use it after a few minutes. We turn off lights when not in use, and appliances too- but we do not unplug. that's all.
