In relation to my latest topic about this curvy lady who's gonna be a "Maid of Honor". She's also the "wedding organizer" of that event (that will be next week) She ask me to give her a good song for the couple. A WEDDING SONG I give her two songs Separate Lives and Release Me I AM JUST KIDDING GUYS Okay I gave her "This Promise of Love" few lyrics here: And may the blessings of our Lord above His light will guide us with a love For you and me forevermore As I give you this promise of love Now that I have you for my own As God is our witness never let me go Feel the love grow as we become one One hand, one heart We are one soul How important your wedding song and did you choose your wedding song? I will be singing my wedding song while marching down the aisle (lols- I run out of emoticon-hehehe) jaiho®- wedding bells :p 4-18-2012 8:55pm Wednesday PT

curvy lady is one busy goddess huh... please tell her that. lol before you ask about wedding bells... lol ... one night, bf and i were looking at wedding songs (well just in case that is) and we agreed on two (amongst the many he recommended). 1. two words by lea salonga, the same song she actually sang on her wedding day a few years back. 2. when god made you, a duet by natalie grant and i don't recall the guy's name. a few stanzas i copied below. i really like the melody. and i like the simple message... the best. It's always been a mystery to me How two hearts can come together And love can last forever But now that I have found you, I believe That a miracle has come When God sends the perfect One Now gone are all my questions about why And I've never been so sure of anything in my life Oh, I wonder what God was thinking when He created you I wonder if He knew everything I would need Because He made all my dreams come true, When God made you He must have been thinking about me that night we kept playing it in youtube. i really like it. love it.

... as for the importance of the wedding song... for me choosing the wedding song is something that is both important and personal. so personal that the bride and groom should be the one to choose it. it's like a background theme of an important event in one's life. a song that conveys the message of love and a wonderful union of two souls... two lives... two hearts and to be blessed as one.

I agree...and wedding song should be personal choice of the couple. Although they can ask suggestion- but, they must have one song in mind that something had connection with them- their relationship.

Do you mean the songs sung at the wedding receptions? I think any songs can be sung there. We have no special songs for the wedding. We have only prayers intended for the newly married couples as soona as they are legally declared as married couple.

Hi, it's great to know it. Are there invitees around? Who are they? I guess they are closest family members from both sides, right?

hello yanzalong, In our weddings- a special song is played when the bride walk down the aisle aside from the marching song. Or- when the couple made their vows- they have a special song played on. Most probably- the couple's favorite songs during their courtship or any songs that is related to their relationship. thanks and have a good day

Well, honestly dear jai,it was my brother who chose our wedding song since he is our wedding singer, hehe! The song I wanted,he said he can't sing 'cause it's quite high for him, ngek! So he let me choose at least two songs he wanted for our wedding and me and hubby somehow like it too so no choice, lol! But it ended up nice. As to your question,YES! I think without those songs, wedding ceremonies will be dull, hehe! Songs add up to the romantic air during weddings.

I haven't gotten married yet. However, I've been looking for a nice song for the walk down the aisle--no Wagner. I have a file of possibilities in Spotify, but I'm still on the lookout for a great song.

hello wilsong, Well, it's good that you have files to choose. It's not really easy to choose good songs for the wedding march and wedding vows and etc. So preparing at this early is much better than searching later. thanks and have a good day

dear jazel, Don't worry too much about ceremony or grand weddings. Like the other mylotter says' some grand wedding lasted for a year- so it's not that matters most my dear. Although yes, I believe that, having a grand wedding is every girl's dream. Don't worry- I also had mine done by a judge after I run away from my garden fairy tale wedding I like that song by Christina Perri- I made an article about that song "A Thousand years"

hello laken, I like that song too "wonderful tonight" :) I agree that song doesn't matter that much. Sometimes relating a relationship to a song will only give us more pain once we lost that person- but yes, having a good memories to remember is worth the reminisce then. Thanks and have a good day

We had a few different wedding songs at our wedding. One we used for my walk down the isle. Most people use the wedding march I think, but we wanted to do something different so we used a classical piano song that was really romantic. Then we had a more modern song as our first dance song. The first song didn't hold much meaning to us, it was just a nice song. The second song was what we would consider to be "Our Song" and was a no brainer in choice. It wasn't a nice slow dance song if you listen to the original, but we dug around and found an acoustic copy of it and used that.

hello Erin, That also become a new trend here, instead of the usual wedding march song, couples uses other song for the wedding march. Then followed by their favorite song while citing their vows. But of course, most of the songs played are the couples choice, songs that connect them together since their courtship or song that relates with their relationship. thanks and have a good day
