I remember when I first go acne as a twelve year old child. I was terrified and inherited it from my mother. I wish I did not have it, and I still have problems with it as an adult. I just wish I knew why? I eat very healthy too.

It varies between people as to why it bothers a person. I know for me it flares up when my cycle is due/hormones, when I eat badly - alot of sugar, don't drink enough water, and I don't wash my face well enough. I've complained to the Dr about it and she said what I have is normal. But gee when you were done with puberty we'd like to be done with the acne too!

It happens to me too... when I was a kid they said "its's the age!!" "it will eventually stop" blah blah blah LIES. My skin is very oily... and yes I inherited it from my mother too... very very oily skin! I can't stop using the cleansing products or otherwise I will have rashes and horrible blemishes, and still when the period is coming, there are the stupid whiteheads... I use the following products: -Camphor cleansing milk from reviva Labs -Camphor toner from reviva Labs -Glycolic acid day cream for very oily skin from Reviva Labs -Night cream for oily skin from Reviva Labs They have made miracles on me. If you excuse me, I buy them from here: http://www.iherb.com/Supplements?rcode=TUW130 Using my code TUW130 will give you a discount of 5 dollars. I recommend them because they worked for me. Good luck on your war against acne!

Acne can be caused by stress as well as it can be caused by eating habits. If you eat healthy it may be the stress. Of course it's also genetics so there may be no way around it. I use dove soap when I have a breakout and I use it as a mask. I've offered it to some people as an idea, and it didn't work for them. Try it to see if it works for you, put it on as a mask at night and take it off the next morning.

You can get acne at any age. You can get bad acne at any age! Sucks, doesn't it? I'm past my teenage years, not too far past them to admit it, but I still have acne. It's not particularly bad but it's really annoying because it won't go away, no matter what I throw at it. There's also a skin disease that looks a whole lot like acne that typically strikes in adulthood called Rosacea. My mom had that, and it's genetic so even when I defeat regular acne, I might get to 30 and wind up with Rosacea. That's characterized by red flushes in the face that don't seem to go away plus acne-like spots.

i still do. when it's genetics it really won't go away. i consulted a dermatologist and she prescribed me with oral and topical medications. i'm finished with the oral, i continue using the topical medications now. the acne won't totally go away but at least, in my case it's controlled. going to the dermatologist is effective but the medications and maintenance will really cost you. to be safe ans worth, better consult the skin doctor.
