Rally to support Jessica Sanchez in US Huge Success

Hello Lotters,
It seems that almost elimination or out voted Bb Chez has awaken most of our Filipino-American Communities out there. am sure it's not just them who woke up from their beds and start voting last week.
but 
it was good that the fil-am community took a stride and campaign for people to vote for her, though am not sure how far it was but this definitely saved her from getting eliminated again.
one concern though, she should choose songs that are popular at her age that matches the theme. the unpopular songs isn't inspiring enough , just my opinion.

Hello sabado, you could give her that suggestion in twitter since she's mostly active there. I wonder who's this we that you are referring to. though i guess not all filipinos support her though. skylar laine has improved for the last three weeks and constantly improvement and not to mention southerners like country and supports. she has one hell of a fan base there.

I have hundreds of relatives in San Diego, Ca., very near to Chula Vista
They are all Ifugaos and Igorots and these minorities love country musics

Maybe they did woken up thinking, she is finally the one Filipina who can really bring our flag up again in the singing industry much more in American Idol.. a finally in American Idol, that would be quite impressive right.
Though then again, i do not like the songs she sings or am not into her style, i still pray she will win

Hello Jazel, they really think that others gonna vote for Jessica simply because she has the voice? i know Jessie had things lacking but she will improve more for the finals. well, Jimmy has seen this kind of performance so i think they will find a way to choose a better song for her age. it's their fault with the themes and allowing her to go to the ballads too much

if that is us, then yes we would vote for her as her voice is great but if we think like the American voters, i am not really sure if that is how they will think...as Jessica doesn't look like your typical American, we have to admit that..this is now whether we will see if there is still racial stuff going on or people really look at things physically...

No, it's not their type of singer and type of song. personally i think they are annoyed that she is still around that some are bashing her. sad also that some pinoys are bashing her as well. what do they know about this woman who had worked so hard being the best singer....

i am so hooked on jessica and i am so glad she is safe in the top 6. (but i was also sad to see colton go.)
i would like to believe that jessica fans... regardless of race, ethnicity, citizenship and whereabouts in the world... have all rallied behind her through votes, messages, support and prayers. i wish her all the best.

Hello Myles, I understand now why they were so sad to see Colton go, first off, he wasn't supposed to auditioned. unfortunately, when the judges saw her sister, they called him up to give it a try and not only he got it but also got into top 7. but one mistake can really make you outvoted. am glad the campaign finally work, things are gonna get hard from now, we should not stop voting for her.

Jessica should really have a chance to win this years American idol. She is really a good singer no doubt. And you are right with your opinion, she should sing songs that are popular at her age. Good thing the campaign was a success, she was saved alright, but hopefully next weeks performance and elimination, she will again be saved. And by the way, you're little campaign here in mylot worked as well. Although I wasn't able to actually vote, I asked my relatives in the US to do it for me though.

Hello gaiza12, I hope she does, but ever since the save she's been getting a lot of haters from kids who favored other contestants. there are more people that actually love her than hate her. but ridiculously, they hate her because of what the judges did, the girl is innocent for pete's sake.

Oh really? I didn't know that there were so many haters because of that. I really love mylot, people here really updates me with what's happening. That's sad. Well, I hope Jessica will not take this as something bad and should not blame herself for being saved. Hope she'll still stand proud that what the judges decision was, was really worth it despite all the bad reactions that came out.

Hello Cherish, Yes the length of support wasn't this huge before on other Filipina related idols but for Jessica she really nailed it to the top here. i hope she picks an even better song compare to the last few songs that she performed.

Don't worry. The show wants her to be in the top 2 with Phillip so you all don't have to vote, they'll make sure she stays in. The fake "almost elimination" was just for ratings. I personally would not be able to listen to ten minutes of the remaining contestant's tracks. But that is cause my favorite genre of music just got eliminated, it wasn't even about looks.

This show never wants a rocker to win. Next year they need one to win or I'm totally done, as I'm done with the rest of the Season now and will only be watching the finale if that. Nothing is wrong with a rock and roll artist winning, I just don't get it. A Phillipino will win before a rock and roll artist does (or someone like Colton Dixon, Daughtery, James Durbin, Constantine, etc.).

I just think that the she needs to make some moves like what other contenders are doing. I can hear some comments from the judgement that her voice is already okay and she just needs to translate the voice to good facial and body language. I can still sense of apprehension when she sings and I see less movement that will complement to her good voice.
I can see others are already doing both just so to be able to connect with the audience. Voice wise I can see that she has it but I think judges wants more than the voice of course.

yeah, jessica was able to get into the top 6. i think the fil-am community poured out their support to jessica this time. it is tru that jessica is supported by fil-ams and mexicans, but she is also american. i am ok not to highlight too much the ethnicity because it makes or breaks one's chances. it divides and unites people at the same time. jessica is an excellent singer. she can sing and she is still growing and maturing.

Hello Captainalbertwhisker, Are you sure? i thought it was his ROMANCE performance which was really really terrible to boot. they openly admitted that there not dating and skylar had boyfriend back home. i think the performance nailed him down instead of that rumor though. besides, can't just be voted out just for one rumors

I agree that Jess should choose songs that are current and could attract more votes from teenagers who may not be swayed merely by Jess talent as one of the best technical singers ever to grace American Idol. But even Jimmy in the latest results show apologized for letting Jess sing songs like 'Try a Little Tenderness' which was way beyond her years. Maybe it's time that she should be singing the songs of Beyonce or Rhianna as her tone of voice suits their style of music. How I wished she would step up the game next week. I am so excited to see Jessica still make it to the finale with Phillip.

Hello awesomekid The last song she chose which was fallin was also sung by Haley Reinheart last year and that's probably thought that she didn't have originality. but she delivered so well unfortunately the song cannot relate though. she can do raps actually but i don't why the judge wants her to be in the ballads
