i am still a lost as why my computer, newly reformatted can't detect the interne

do i need to load the cd of the mainboard. but i can use the computer except for internet use. so do i need to load the cd of the mainboard. only that i can't locate where i have placed the cd of the mainboard. it was custom built. i would like to use the desktop again for internet browsing although i have laptop and tablet for internet use. but i want to learn how to make the internet work again .

i think you have to have this set up in order to make sure that you will see the internet settings. i am not into desktop pcs anymore so i am not so sure i can give you the details you need. goodluck with that! =)

I guess you are right look for the cd for the mainboard drivers. This is very important when formatting your HDD all of the drivers including those that you use like for Video, LAN or WIFI are erased from the HDD. When reinstalling it Wndows will definitely not recognized the drivers that your devices are using unless it is generic type which is not in your case especially for those that are branded ones. If not you can always browse through the home site of your PC and from there you can always download the drivers for you main board.

Search for a driver on the manufacturer's website then.

i think you need to get Ethernet drivers as per your LAN card. just download and install them. if still there any problem then you should call your ISP .
