You still need extra zinc supplement

I was told zinc from your vege and fruits can't be all be absorbed in the body due to other molecules in the foods blocking zinc from being absorbed. What is your take on this issue?

Really? I supposed some vitamins, minerals should be absorbed into our body somehow via some chemical reactions from other food. There's no way we are totally void of zinc because it's important to our health. There are some health sites and magazines that teaches one how to pair our food in order to maximize our daily vitamin intake from food. Eating is a form of art if we want the best for our health. Worst come to worst, we end up taking in capsule form.

Do you mean absorbtion blocking due to the action of phytic acid & enzyme inhibitors? If so, then relax, Max! These two are only present in grains & legumes which are not properly prepared for human consumption through soaking &/or sprouting. It's not just zinc that gets blocked, but other enzymes, proteins, etc as well. Fruits & vegetables do not contain these. Certain grains & legumes contain more of these substances than others. These substances also have some positives that come with them, like they help prevent cancer, etc.

I am not sure about zinc but fact is most vitamines and minerals are difficult to get out of the food nowadays because everything is not in balance anymore. Fastfood and all the prepared drinks are causing this so are medication, lack of sunlight, personal hormone balance etc. So it's interesting enough to invest if some (health) problems are caused by a lack of ... which make it also impossible to absorb what your body is needed. I take multivitamin, vit D and folic acid 2 times a day (once a day is not working for me) to make it possible to absorb the rest and use it for some hours.
