Listia - UGH!

This website is starting to drive me crazy. First off, I list an auction there, someone wins, and then they give me the wrong address. Then I re-send it (to what is suppose to be the right address) and he still says he's never received his item. I say "okay, I can send another one as I have two of them" and he says "okay, I'll check by the 14th, let you know, and if I don't get it that'd be great". No reply so I assume he finally gets it. FINALLY! Now fast forward to now and this guy wants a refund saying how I claimed to send another one (even though he never told me if he ever received his item or not by the 14th...) and saying "she said she did this but I never got it, she claimed she did that...". The thing I hate the most is that I ever decide to hold another auction people might see some low reputation rating (that wasn't deserved). I think he actually got the item, but he's just trying to start trouble. That's the feeling I've been getting. Oh well this was just a vent. If you used Listia, you can share your experiences here. If not, you can still join in!

I know lots of people who use it, and many people who have had trouble with sales, etc. I personally would feel too stressed out, and it did not appeal to me. Like you, I would feel like this guy was scamming in order to get something for free.

Thanks for the response! I rarely do sales, trades, or anything online but I wanted to try it on Listia (since you're basically trading in points instead of cash to get the thing you want) if I knew it would be this much trouble I probably wouldn't have tried it... now I've lost an autograph (item I traded) and I'm short of points of Listia!

Some people on there love scheming. It drives me crazy too! I cant understand why theyve even got to go there. But its just the way of the world today.

Unfortunately, this is often the problem with a lot of these sites, is people who are always scamming and saying they never receive something, and insisting on a refund, etc. when they actually have received their item. You hear about this type of thing happening even on Ebay and other sites all the time as well. It does not make it Fun and easy for anyone for the people who this has happened too. I have heard of people now doing the thing where a person has to sign before they can get their package, and that might be expensive but STOP a lot of this as well. Just Sorry it had to happen to you.

I've bought and sold several dozen items on listia. I've had bad issues with only2 sellers, and the Listia team gave me my points back without an issue. I've not had any trouble with a buyer yet. I know one person who sold an amazon gift card, and the buyer said it was no good so she sent another one, and they said IT was no good. She thought that was fishy, and was going to contact the listia staff, but I never did hear what her results were. I don't use it as much as I used to. The "prices" of things have gone up, and I never seem to win anything I want anymore and I used to have such GOOD luck there. I'm looking into selling some stuff on yardsellr now.

I use it alot too and the biggest problem I have had on there are people who do not see when I have shipping listed for an item, they think everything is all free on there. They are usually newbies who do this and then they take it like it was your fault and I have even gotten three neutrals due to their own negligence on not reading the entire auction before they bid. Thats what drives me crazy. I could scream, I just got another one of those customers this weekend in fact. I have had problems with people on eBay too, something similar to what you just described on Listia. Only I got him to quit bugging me finally and he hasn't even left any feedback for me, thankfully. Cause I said if he did that I would just leave the delivery confirmation # I used with his package on the feedback under the one he left me and people could see for themselves that I sent the item.
