Had graduated a four year course Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Accounting. Had really not enjoy the course but just finished it as shifted from Education, already. Been a working student since graduated from high school so been studying at night. Found it easy during the education course but followed others advises that there's no future in Education so had to shift to Accountancy but found it hard during the last year of the major subjects. As a result I did not take the board exams fearing to fail. I had 6 months of being an accounting clerk having leave of absence from my clerical job at a telecommunication company. Uncertain of getting regular in that accounting job had stick to the clerical job where am a regular employee. After 10 years however had been attracted to sales in Tupperware company. The 6 years in sales has been good but another offer of bigger commissions has been accepted, a real estate business this time. Around 15 years of being productive in real estate but we're getting old and health is not like that of before. Still connected with real estate but part time this time. Can still close a sale one or two in 6 months. It depends however, for now I had closed one and another to be closed this coming month. I'm not successful however with the course I took. Regret I shifted to another course from Education. I should have my retirement 3 years from now. My Accounting course was not in use. How about you my friends any of you experience the same?

In my case, I sometimes wonder where would I be today had I not changed my major. Seemingly able to only excel in math classes in high school, I chose math major without really knowing what I'd do with it once I graduate. Faith had it that I got burned out by math and was faced with the urgency to change major in freshman year or got dropped out of college for failing my math courses. Eventually I got my MBA and I suppose my work to date has always been along that line. These days at least I can still put my math in use to tutor my teenage children who do not seem to have the same enthusiasm I had about math when I was their age.

Right Sishy others landed in tutorials as their sidelines too. It's really hard to choose the right course during college but I think we have to choose where we are most interested in. Though others say the course should be what's in demand. Thanks for the response. Happy myLotting...

This doesn't really apply to me but many of my friends finished their course and didn't get to apply it. The most common reasoning for this scenario is that either their industry is saturated or simply they can't land a job. In the second scenario, they simply applied for jobs that they think will pass and work. So basically, they kinda don't care whether they can be able to apply what they learned in 4 or 5 years and simply take a job because they badly need it. ] As for me, I stayed in industry even though i am not raking all the money and getting the best jobs around. I still have time though but I am content for the time being.

Good for you jeanneyvonne you're contented with your work now. Yes so many who landed in different fields other than their chosen careers as they need the jobs badly. Thanks for the response. Have a good day...
