Cheer leaders of PWI

In IPL every team have there on cheer leaders and they perform during the match. But for the first three seasons all the eight team had the cheer girls from foreign countries. But from the last season, the cheer leaders of the pune warriors India makes a difference in the ground. They have the Indian girls representing various culture from different part of the country. I feels they are better than the cheer girls of other teams. they makes a difference in the stadium. This season, KKR tries to have cheer girls with sarees but i felt that was poor and does't suit them.

Yes, PWI have really innovated on this front. In fact, I really liked their concept and commend them for bringing in the Indian culture. As it is the cheer girls in the matches and in the studios are really making it look stupid. So on that front the PWI cheerleaders are a welcome change. Cheers! Ram

You are right. Now the cheer leaders are in studios also(pre and post match review) it looks too boring. They are dancing the same steps and it is like a punishment for viewers to watch that. But PWI have around 3-4 group of cheer leaders and they are playing different style of dance according to the culture they represent.

Cheerleaders with Indian costumes looks to be bad, I am not saying Indian costumes are bad, but it doesn't suit for cheerleaders, it defeats the whole purpose ....

I thinks that the cheer leaders of every team should represent the culture of the state. Now everybody is bored with foreign cheer leaders they do same thinks in every matches and that is continuing for last 5 years. But in PWI, they have different cheer girls representing different cultures.

I think all the cheerleader should be from India. This will helps to make the cheerleaders look more good. I think Pune Warriors are looking good than the cheerleaders of other team.

I also think the culture of the state of the teams should be shown in cheerleading and there should a short documentary about various things and culture and food and people of the state shown to attract tourists.

I support your view on cheerleaders should be from India. and they should represent the culture of the state the teams from.

Hi, I agree with you. The cheer leaders are to attract the audience and create an extra flavor to the environment. Last three seasons we saw girls in filmy attire dancing were imported most probably Russia. Now Pune last last year and Katakana this year are mixing Rabindra Bharati dance on the dice and this is a good thing to witness.
