When I was young, I have a dream to visit the city of water. I love water because it is pretty.I'd like to know what it would be like to live there.I hope I am there.I believe I will achieve my dream.Would you like to go there? Is it your favourite? I love quietness and I love freedom. I love the nature. Do you want to experience the carmness of the water there?

I visited Venice as part of a package tour of Europe a few years ago.Venice is a city of canals. It is a beautiful place. The mode of transport is water buses. One can have gondola rides in the canals. St. Marks Square is filled with pigeons and music is played round the clock. The Murano Glass factory is worth visiting. These are my memories not to forget the Gelato I tasted.

You only need to feed the pigeons and they will sit all over you. I loved that experience.

I love birds and animals.I love watching the sparrows in front of my window. I always greet them, but they seem scared and fly away. I wish you happy!

I was vey lucky many years ago because I moved from Uk to Italy and I am not far from Venice. It is a four hour drive from where I live. I have been three times so far and have stayed there each time for several days. This gave me the chance not only to visit the more well-known places there but also to investigate the 'off the beaten track' canals and it is there that lies even more neauty. The calmness, the numerous cats, the washing hung across from one building to another makes it almost magical. On one of my trips there I was lucky to see a wedding take place. The bride and the guests all arrived in the gondolas and it was like something from a fairy-tale. Hpowever I would not like to live there. Too often when it rains and when the tides and winds are in a particular combination, Venice becomes submerged. Then wooden planks are set up over the footpaths for pedestrians to get from one place to another. Everyone wears knee-high boots and, even though the locals appear to go about their lives as usual, I would find it very stressful to have to wade about in all that water just to get to my workplace or to do the shopping.

For me, home is where the heart is and not the place where I was born and raised. It is so easy and cheap to travel these days that no destination is off-limits

I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to see many places but I would not like to settle down in any of those places. Home sweet home beckons you even before you finish your package. It has happened to me. When I was visiting the States I had so many there - my family and friends whom I visited after my package tour. I just wanted to get back even though I was spending time with those I knew.

I visited Venice a long time ago with an ex girlfriend, and still have a photograph taken of us in a gondola. I did like Venice and it is quite an attractive place with very inspiring old architecture. Travelling in a gondola is quite good, but I would certainly not refer to the water as pretty. It is very stagnant.

Hello abundant1, yes I would love to go to Venice. It is actually one of my dream destination. The fact that it is called the city of water really fascinates me. I am interested in seeing how beautiful the place is. Also, I am interested how the locals there live their life in a beautiful place like that.

I want to visit Venice too. I love travelling and I think Venice is a very interesting place. Although I don't want to live there, I think one to two weeks would be enough to enjoy the whole place. I've seen so many pictures of Venice and I think it's a very interesting place. I want to experience to ride in gondolas.
