Gareth Bale to join Manchester City?

Tottenham player Gareth Bale has attracted much attention even before the end of season. He has attracted not only attention from rival clubs in the Barclays Premier League, but also that of Jose Mourinho, currently the manager of Real Madrid. Man City is currently offering Bale 40 million pounds, but his manager Harry Redknapp is adamant that Gareth Bale won't leave Tottenham. What are your thoughts? Will Bale leave Tottenham when they are possibly at their strongest?

Bale and Modric have been linked with many clubs, City and United mostly. I've been hearing lately about a 40 million bid for Bale from City, its a lot of money do you believe he is worth all that much? people have mixed opinions some say he's one of best left footed wingers, i personally think he has good pace to take around players and a brilliant low cross from the left. Modric however is really good player, great first touch, dribbling, passing and movement i think they have been an asset to Tottenham and have them both leave. It would leave Redknapp with a lot of work to do in the transfer window.

I would prefer Modric to stay at Tottenham where he is thriving in the forward striker position. If Bale and Modric were to leave Tottenham just as Nasri and Fabregas left Arsenal last season at approximately the same time, Harry Redknapp would have a headache figuring out who to replace these two star players. I wouldn't want to see Bale leave Spurs for another club in the Barclays Premier League.

In my opinion, i don't see Modric leaving because of his very big price and that United want to sign Kagawa now which ultimately take them out the race for Modric but who knows, he is a brilliant player for spurs though.

I enjoy watching tottenham's games, so I really hope that Gareth Bale stays in the club. For his own career though, it might probably be good to move to a football club like real madrid, since it's obviously a higher class club. I don't know about the contract he currently has with tottenham. If he was to leave tottenham though, I'd prefer him to go to a club of another country.:)

Tottenham is taking on Aston Villa tonight and Villa needs to win to guarantee their place in the league. If Bale is planning on leaving then this is probably one of his last games for the Spurs. Yeah I agree that it will be good for him to move to Real Madrid but he may not be able to play for the first team as regularly as he is in Tottenham. Which team do you want to see him play for? :)

I think Bale has been hot property for well over one year now. I was expecting him to make the move last year itself, but Harry managed to hold on to him. I think the key would be the Champions League qualification of Tottenham. If they manage to get the Champions League spot, then Harry can try and keep Bale. But if they miss out then I am pretty sure Bale would make a big money move during the summer. Where he might go might be interesting. Given a choice between Barcelona, Real and Man City, Bale probably would choose of the two Spanish giants over City. Cheers! Ram
