infront of PC doing nothing

Its been 5hrs now since I opened my laptop and used it. But, until now, I can say, I'm not doing any productive thing. I checked my facebook, my yahoomails, mylot, surveys online etc, and nothing so impressive that give me eagerness to do something online. I'm using my laptop just looking at my photos taken last week during our vacation. Then chatting some friends, but none so far, that is so productive. Can you recommend me site or movie that would give me energy on doing my jobs online or just give me energy to think of something productive?

Define your productivity. Means, what product you want? Money? Social connection? Satisfaction and pleasure? Enlightenment and preaching? Or a few giggles? Better yet, shut down your PC and start saving energy and the Earth from carbon footprint.

I laugh after reading your post. And I can say you have a point. Well, productivity for me is, when I help somebody and if I did something to earn money. I'm also looking for engineering jobs and until now haven't find one.

I usually get bored with the computer too especially when I'm doing nothing productive. Maybe you just need a little break from the computer.

Well, I would say that there are some times that we just need to be unproductive in order to get our online earning drive back. For me, this last couple of weeks have been crazy for me and because of that I've really not had the time to devote to my online earning. However, I do find that when I've been away for a couple of days, I have a lot more drive and motivation to do my online work for a few days. Perhaps your break was just what you needed.

Does mylotting not seem to you to be productive and energizing? If you are now in front of your pc,why don't you engage yourself in mylot? It's really nice to see that you have initiated this discussion here are going to earn something from it.My suggestion to you is,don't stop here only. Now that you have initiated a discussion,go ahead and start responding to discussions initiated by others as well.Add comments to the responses that this discussion of yours has attracted.I hope, you will start feeling energized.

You have done so many things till now and you say it is not productive, lol. I think you did some work in online but it seems you are not satisfied with it. If such situation I were in I would just off those for a while. So that I would get refreshed when I come back. :-)

One day I had the same problem as you and I randomly came across the idea to join ChaCha! You can join as a guide and get paid per question you answer. Not only are you getting paid, but because you do so much research for the questions you answer you end up learning a lot too! It's a lot of fun!

I also meet that problem. I know I have a lot of things to do with my laptop, but after opening it, I do not know from where to begin with. Then after more than 5 hours with it, nothing has been done. It is called procrastination here. The solution is that making a list of things have to do first, then open your laptop and do one after another. After all things on the list have been finished, then you can do what you want. I hope it can help.

If you are looking for something to do on the computer, why not consider surfing for information on something you are interested in. I am always online trying to find out more about the things that interest me. I would recommend having antivirus for the purpose of safer surfing. You can check out about.com and see what information is given on a subject you would like to learn more about. Do you want to learn more about computer maintenance or find recipes? If you use your computer as a convenient library it can work wonders for you. Please use caution and common sense while surfing. There are myths along with realities out there in the cyberspace, but when you choose to find things out, do so responsibly.

This action or better say inaction :D has its name. It is called wilfing (acronym from - "What I Was Looking For?!") and it is becoming one of the most widely spread bad habits in the past decade. It seems that the more access to information we have the more reluctant to work with it we get and spend time wasting it goofing off.

Go mylotting, you can answer many discussions and even make your own for 5 hours. I think that is productive.. You can earn and you enjoy your time too..learning new stuff and giving advice.

When you have no mood for doing anything, better you listen to music. After that you can start doing something else, such as posting more discussions on mylot...
