India

My mom and my sister often used to complain about tooth ache, but seriously I never felt that it could be so painful. From last 5 days my right hand side teeth and gums are paining terribly. Due to it my head is also paining badly. Since I am bedridden I am unable to visit a dentist, and no dentist is willing to come home and visit me. I am looking up for some home remedies. Dear mylotters, if you know about any home remedy for tooth ache kindly share it with me. Thank You!

Hi! I think by the time I submit my response, you would have got some relevant responses. I believe clove or clove oil works wonders with tooth ache, provided you have clove or clove oil in your home.

Hello dpk262006, Luckily I have a small jar full of clove. I have put one clove in my mouth and feeling some strong sensation in my right side teeth. Hope it lessens the pain.

I know about a few benefits of aloe vera, but never knew it worked for tooth ache also. My dad's friend has this plant at his house. He and his family is out of town and will be back by Thursday morning, i'll ask dad to get a leaf from there. Hope it works for me. Thanks for your response!

i've had a wisdom tooth that's needed to be pulled. however, due to me not being able to afford it, i've decided to delay it. i had to come out with a way to prevent the pain. to sooth my gums i rinse out with warm green tea first which feels great on my gums. afterwards i use warm water to rinse any of the sugar out from the green tea and then i floss. i then i use sensodyne pronamel foaming gel. the foaming gel version is very important for me as it really gets into the spaces around the hurting tooth as well as on it. just using sensodyne pronamel toothpaste doesn't work to keep the pain away so i make sure its the foaming gel version. after this i use mouthwash. the mouth wash i use is ACT Total Care Dry Mouth. i hope this helps. i follow this procedure and it does the trick. if i didn't do this my wisdom tooth would leave me in agony.

Hello Elmiko, Oh yes! I have seen the tv commercials of sensodyne toothpaste. Thanks for reminding it. So, do you follow this entire procedure everyday?

I'm doing it with a crushed garlic. Garlic has this soothing relief for nerves and has an enzyme that lessens the pressure. It smells bad though but it does works. Try to search for more proofs online and in Wikipedia if you want feedbacks on how it was being used by the Americans in the past. Even presidents use it before (There's no anit-inflamatory or Tramadol/ Soma invented before -_-") Happy mylotting and this should better work for your mom and sister. Please tell them to get well soon for me when toothache strikes.

Hello Friend, Thank you for your response! It's good that garlic works for you, but seriously I cannot stand its smell. I just hope that other remedies work for me so I don't have to try this one. Thanks again!

Herbal treatment. - Herbal treatment for toothache.
Hi inderjeet... Search "musa sapientum". It is one type of big banana. Bring a leaf and detach the both sides. You have the stem on your hand. (pic added and the part is covered by black). Foment it on light fire and then bite it slightly by that particular tooth. Dont bite hardly, slightly. You will get well. It was the herbal medicine that we used on childhood. any question, ask me.

I could still remember before when we suffer from tooth ache, my Mom would suggest us to put pounded garlic on it. Now, aside from my Mom's idea, I suggest you to put ice cubes inside your mouth or apply cold compress that could surely somehow alleviate the pain. But nothing is better than going to your dentist. Dentist knows best than tooth fairy. ;))

Hello Edisonbanglos, I just cannot stand the smell of garlic so i'll better not go with this idea. Rather your idea of using ice cubes is better and I will surely try this one. Thank you!
