I'm climbing the walls

I get creepy crawly feeling when I get anxious sometimes. I can't stand it. Sometimes I can't talk either due to the stress. I'll be okay tomorrow maybe. I just am getting overwhelmed with stress. I'm going to start dusting and getting my drawers ready to get moved on Saturday. SIL said to keep the clothes in the drawers and just take the drawers out of the dressers and put them back together when they are in the new house. To me this could be cumbersome. I'm getting so nervous!

I hope that your moving project will be over soon. That way you can try and relax. It is definitely a lot of work moving and it can be stressful. Especially if you have other people helping you. Everyone tends to get stressed out when family members are moving.

Ye and stuff gets missing that you never find. I found sone books that I had at my other house that I have never read. They were in the bottom of my closet. I'm reading them now. I never found my cast iron frying pan from when I moved before. People helped us. I think it never made it to my house because ive never seen it in all these years.

Glad to hear that you found some books that you never read. When we have items like that it's like receiving a gift. Sorry to hear that you never received your cast iron pan. Those pans are great.

We are moving on Saturday too!! Although moving is always stressful, I am actually more stressed about what happens after we get to the house. This is our first house - and we're having all sorts of repairs and such done right now. The house wasn't a fixer, but it's certain OLD - so there will be a lot to do (in time) once we are there. Even when we get there, the kitchen will only be half done - but I can live with that (I think). So I am overwhelmed about all the work that will need to be done just to settle in!! I did just that with the drawers when we moved into this apartment. But I did it because we were only moving about 50 feet away (we moved into a bigger apartment). We had movers move the big stuff, but I didn't feel like packing the little stuff. So I just moved a lot of the stuff myself - including drawers with the clothes in it! And for the drawers that were too big to carry, I dumped the clothes neatly in separate bags - so I can dump them right back in - ha ha! Best of luck with moving this weekend - please wish me luck too!

it is actually the easiest way to move and gives you less work to do when you get to your new house, that is how I move

He said he is going to move the LR furniture first. Then other stuff. Our clothes packed away will go last. He said he doesn't want to walk around a bunch of bags and boxes. I can't do lifting. I won't be much help but I will be cleaning here as we leave. Like when our LR gets empty I will vacuum it. He has to fix the kitchen floor where Rosie tore it up. His mother will be mad to see the floors torn up by this dog. That's whT she won't be in the new house.

i know what you mean but just try and calm down a little. i found out that things are not as hard usually as i imagine. sounds like your sil has a good idea and he will likely have things in order till you wont need to worry. at least they are not making you leave things you want.

When I wrote this I was climbing the walls. But today is another day and I'm not nervous at all. I'm glad. Yes. SIL has a plan to make the move as smooth as possible.

If your mjoving the dresser why not tape, or tie the drawer shut with the clothes in it?. I hate moving and wish you luck as I would be stressing to themax as well especially if someone was telling me what to do as well.

Actually what the SIL said about the drawers works really well, as long as someone is able to carry the drawers while they are loaded. If you feel the contents might get dusty put a plastic garbage bag over the drawer plus its contents. It saves a lot of work in the long run. You need something to do that will fully engage your mind so that you can worry less about this. How about doing some of your crochet? The rhythmic movement is quite soothing.

He us so anal about stuff he said he didn't want to carry any dust from here to there. He said to make sure everything us well fisted and cleaned. Like wiping down the tv and DVD player and all this stuff so everything is clean when it gets in the new home. I guess I need to tidy up my undies drawers and stuff so no one sees a messy drawer. Yeah a garbage bag us good.

Your SIL is right about keeping the clothes in the draws. It does make it easier. I have moved several times and have always done that. I am hoping things will get better for me as well because things where I live are terible. I am living with my parents (because Randy's health is not good) and there are better doctors here in Nevada and all my mother can say is hire a nurse so you can go back to work. I refuse to leave Randy alone nor will I hire a nurse because I am capable of taking care of him myself. My parents are behind in all their bills because they spend more than they make and I refuse to pay their debts. I wish you the best of luck with packing and with the new house.
