Good question. I would like to join these type of site. I like mylot very much. It improved my language..! Before I am joining I learned only English grammar books.
But at that time I am not using English language to speak in my English c;lass. Now its easy for me...

Yes. You could apply the english you have learned by making short paragraphs here in mylot. It will work wonders as well. This would help you improve your subject-verb agreement and of course literary style. Have a good day.

I agree with you, shskumbla.Mylot is certainly a good site to express ourselves in English,but my problem is that our posts are not edited here.That's why members like me who are from non English speaking countries go on committing grammatical errors in their posts.At the same time,Mylot teaches you how to give vent to your feelings,experiences and sentiments in English.My problem is how I can prevent myself from committing mistakes.

Well, the most basic way to improve english is to go to a school and learn it. But if you want to be fluent in english, it is not enough to learn it. You have to apply it. That is why teaching one's self is the best teacher of all. With great willpower and determination, you could be successful in improving your english. Personally, i read books aloud to improve my english. I read it with my eyes and speak it with my mouth. Therefore, my learning skill weill be doubled since you could see it and hear it. It's a great strategy and it worked wonders for me. But of course, i also applied it by talking to myself in english. Eh he he he. It's quite fun. Try it. Best of luck to you.

Me too. I also read so many English grammar books. But when I joined to mylot, English language became easy to me. And I used to speak it with my Uncle, Teacher......

I like mylot very much and I have been here for the past 6 years. A person's usage of English can improve with reading good books and reading good prose extracts[written in standard English]. Nowadays many people do not care about their usage and books are the best solution for this.

Exactly.Reading good books in English,preferably by native English writers is a good or perhaps the best way to improve your knowledge of the language.I read English newspapers daily and frequently books by Kenneth Anderson on wild life and I have noticed the results.

Not everything that you see here is grammatically correct. Nor can we tell anyone if they have made mistakes. The best way is to actually go for language classes and/OR listen to channels such as BBC.

Sometimes even those with English as their first language make mistakes and so one should be careful when trying to learn English here.

mylot is one of best site to improve our english. but instead of having mylotting, I will improve my english by writing an english article in triond or my blog. it's always not easy since my english is not fluent and I only had standard english, but as long I'm excited I enjoy and interisting with english

Of course,Mylot is an excellent site,but certainly it is not an ideal site to learn English.This is because our posts are not edited here.Members of Mylot who don't use English as their first language often commit grammatical errors while writing their posts.But writing for Triond and other article writing sites is an option,but we should also develop the habit of reading books,articles and newspapers in English.This improves our English a lot.....Thanks for sharing.

I would not like to join any classes to improve. Instead i use to red as many as i can, novels, newspapers, magazines etc. I do make a practice to talk with others in English only. Instead of thinking in mother tongue always try to think in English which will help a much. And obviously my lot site helps to improve English.

Thinking in English has been a problem for me.I have tried many times to do so,but failed.I think in my mother tongue,Hindi,and then translate it in English.However I read a lot in English.So far as talking in English is concerned,I don't have friends who know English or want to talk in English.

Certainly,my friend.Mylot is an excellent site,a unique one.You can implement your improved knowledge of English here,but I feel,we can't depend on Mylot for improving our English,because our posts are not edited here.We must join a English learning site.I don't know whether what I feel is right or wrong though.

There are a lot of different ways to improve your English. The most important thig is to like and enjoy the way. I really advice to read every day. Read in English not too much. Read at least about 3 lines.

benefits of learning foreign language so much including the English language for english so many ingredient that we can download the material is easy and free to practice writing we also can make postes in mylot to repeat how well we can learn here, it alwys use to train my lot read buy ralely to write only once only posibble at any time to write a lot here, next time i can write here any experient abouth language and learn english, ussually i hearing news and story from audiobook for improve my english.

I read books in English frequently.Reading is certainly a good way to improve your knowledge of a language.And I liked your suggestion of downloading materials and practice them in our leisure.Participating in Mylot can serve as a taste of what we have learned.I agree with you.

I don't have time to go to school anymore just to learn English. We can learn it even in our home. Try to read books or newspapers.
