I always try to sell the things that I no longer need. Before my husband and I moved I went through all of our things. I packed the things that we wanted to keep and we decided to have a garage sale and try to sell the rest of the things. We had never had a garage sale before and we didn't now what to expect, but quite a few people showed up, and we managed to sell many of our old books, cds and dvds and a couple of other things. One woman was very interested in some of my clothes, but unfortunately it wasn't the right size so she didn't buy any of the clothes. After the garage sale we still had some books left and we took them to a used book store. The owner bought some of the books and gave us about $20. The rest of the things we donated to charity.

It is meaning right?Especially for those books,i suppose it is really much better than just throw them away,i think.Otherwise, when you sell them, you really get your books keeping read by others so as not to waste. And also sent to the charity is meaningful to do and helped more people.

I've recently started selling things on a site called yardsellr. I know that I'm not going to ever get as much money back from an item as I first paid for it, but I do try to price it as high as I think I can and still have people buy the items. Yardsellr is also good for selling because people get free credits at the site to buy things with. They don't have to pay any real money to buy items, but the seller still gets real money from the site.
