If you haven't got a legit copy of MS Office, I wouldn't bother going out and buying one. There's a free software suite called Open Office available to download on the internet that does exactly the same things and the files are compatible.

You have to install microsoft office software separately. It will not come with Windows xp operating system. If you don't have installation file for Office , then dowlnoad it from site and install. Or if you wish to have genuine Office software, you can buy it and install. by the way why didn't you choose windows 7? Think You have not having good hardware support, like my PC. I am also using XP. If you are not having good hardware support, Don't go for latest version of MS OFFICE, because it will hang your system..

It is not included in the Windows XP cd. You should have the Microsoft Office CD and install it in your pc. You might also need the driver of your motherboard, soundcard, lan, and video card, coz without them, your pc might have no audio, poor graphics, and cannot connect to network places and internet. Since you have already installed the Operating System(Windows XP), next to install are drivers for motherboard, lancard, soundcard and videocard. Then you have to install an antivirus software.
