The sun just started coming out so I decided to clean Marcos cage. He was just flipping out, I tried taking thiings out and he was attacking my hands, and scooping the bedding he was attacking the scooper thingy and just running around. I was just going to shut my bedroom door and let him play with Patches. But he was in such a panic so I put him in the cat carrier while I dragged the cage outside. He was in the cage kicking, and ripped up the towel (lucky its a 25 year old towel we use to layer the bottom of the carrier for vet visits). I cleaned the cage and brought it back in and set it up. He wouldnt get back in the cage for me so I had to leave the room with both doors open and let him do it himself. Hes now back in his cage, flipping everything around and staring me down while doing it. I put some of the paper cat litter in and he just used it. I found he wouldnt reuse the litter pan if he peed in it when I used the shavings so we will see how this goes. He also chewed a bar off the cage, so I will have to find him a toy to chew on. He does chew the little hut I bought him, but the other toys he doesnt really bother with.

Thats what he did for about an hour after. All while staring me down, and grabbing at my hands.

Whoa, something set this fellow off. I wonder if he doesn't like to be handled. I'm sure he will eventually settle down when he's use to his new surroundings. Maybe you can find out a little more about how he was handled by his previous owner(s). And the chewing, it is very important for their teeth as I understand it. Chewing is suppose to keep his teeth filed down, so he'll be looking for lots to chew on. All-in-all, he has been adjusting well with only minor set-backs; you've done a good job with him.
