i'm planning to buy a clarisonic mia 2 or even the older one. quite pricey but i've watched a lot of reviews about it that it works better on their blemishes and age spots. good investment if you want a difference on your skin. but is there any alternatives from this that can give you same result? need your opinion because i am really saving money for it,but still can't decide. or anybody have tried clarisonic?

I've also read good reviews, but hesitate to invest in a home microdermabrasion system when my skin is covered in active acne pretty much all the time. I've been advised not to try microdermabrasion because it could spread the infections or make them worse. But I do plan on trying a system when the acne is cleared (and I'm about to go on Accutane, so fingers crossed, that'll be within the year!) to help take care of the hyper-pigmentation and the scars. I've heard things about similar systems like the DermaNew and the Neutrogena Microdermabrasion system, which are both less expensive than the Clarisonic. Sorry I can't tell you more, having yet to try myself, but I'm also interested in the research you're doing since I would soon like a system for myself.

thanks Ally I also have very sensitive skin, have tried different acne control products regardless of the price. Luckily my skin reacts well with the products I'm using lately about a year already. St.Ives apricot scrub once a week and cetaphil facial wash for daily wash. For toners I just squeeze a lemon slice on a cotton pad only at night. Lastly clinique dramatically moisturizing lotion at night and olay 7day cream with spf 15 during day time. Twice a week I apply bio oil before going to bed. Once a month I apply mint julep masque from Queen Helene. That's my daily routine and I'm happy I manage to cure my non stop acne. Except on or before my monthly period I guess that's hormonal imbalance so no excuse. But now my problem is my age spot not too much just around the eyes and nose. I can start counting my wrinkles...huhu! And blemishes maybe caused by the sunlight or wrong make up.

You give a bright idea! Thanks! I will recommend this to my friend who suffer severe acne really bad acne. This will help a lot. If I haven't cured my acne maybe I research about Accurane and tried also. I already tried cheaper microdermabrasion but it doesn't work.Maybe because clarisonic brush movements differ. They say it rotates back and forth while the other microdermabrasion rotates only clockwise. Or maybe the force is different or the brush itself is different too.
