The cell phone has become an integral part of daily lives. Some people cannot imagine themselves stepping out of their door without the gadgets with them either in their pockets or hand bag as the case of females. Some people days become dull if they are without their cell phone as they see themselves lost out of the world. Obviously a distance from the phone can mean a big loss of contact that will yield. Has cell phone become part of us that it defines our mood for the day? So my question how many hours can you stay a day without your cell phone beside you?

I can never survive without my smartphone. Maybe as long as I have a laptop with an internet connection. As long as I have an access to the internet to communicate with my friends I will survive but not too long.

I probably could go a day without my cell phone, especially in the summer, which is my slow season, but since I use it for work, I do not think I would want to go very long without it.

I have ten days during our training wherein we were not allowed to use our cellphones. There are also times that I forgot to bring my cellphone with me and its just okay. If somebody among my friends would have something to tell me, they can found me online most of the time, so it doesn't matter if I have my cellphone with me or not.

Well for me cellphone is my lifeline,i feel so secluded without my cell phone .I got a taste of it when last week i dropped my cellphone in my car and was unable to make out where exactly i forgot it,i am totally dependent on my phone book for my contacts so was almost out of touch with everybody,i missed my important appointments,it was all messy. It was after a whole day struggle i managed to find it out.But at the same time i realized excess of everything is bad technology is easying our life to that extent that it is paralyzing us.

Many times I decided to stay a day or two without my cell phone, but I always failed. Usually my friends or business associates will complain if I did this. Even when I was travelling for holidays or business purposes, or even on International trip - my cell phone must remained on. I have done several tries but always failed as cell phone is a requirement nowadays. But at least, I still can stay without using a Blackberry phone till today. :) A simple cell phone with texting capability for SMS/MMS is almost a requirement for our life.

Hi Chikezie, it couldn't be denied that cellphone has become a more and more essential communication device to our daily life nowadays. Other than letting us to keep in contact with others, the advancd cellphone is exactly having the same funtion as a pc. It is handy to carry around. But I'm not a business man or person working in professional field, I do not depend sriously on it of course. I still would be relexed and comfortable even [em]lol[/em if ] my handphone is left at home. In case I want to contact with my loved ones I could use the public phone conveniently as they are availabe here almost in every corner. Happy posting

I can live without my mobile phone. I know how essential the mobile these days but i can live a day without it as long as there is internet. I communicate more with people, my family and loved ones thru net than mobile phones. I only find my mobile phone useful for taking pictures

Hello, Chikezie. Well, I have been without my cell phone now for about 2 weeks, and it is somewhat liberating. I love that I dont have to hear it ring every 5 minutes. Although it is bad for trying to find work. But my solution for that is Skype. I placed some money on it to call here locally and it is great. I have everything set up where I can get calls sent to my skype number, and they can leave a message there. I am beginning to love skype. I talk to my girl friend in the Phills. just about every other day. It is AWESOME, and now I dont need to pay so much for cell and international time as well. Double plus!!!

Yes, I could easily stay away from my phone for a day. I don't really understand people that have to always be talking or texting on their cellphones. I have some friends that can talk on their cells for hours just talking about nothing of any importance. Now if I was asked to stay away from my computer for a day, that would be much more difficult.

I can live well without a cellphone as long as I have my laptop. I don't usually use my cellphone that much. But I can't deny the fact that cellphones are useful. At least I can live a day, month without a cellphone. I also use my cellphone sometimes as my alarm clock. hehe

Hi Chikezie, Except some necessary incoming or outgoing calls, I care a little for my mobile phone. I,m not yet attached to it. Actualy being around in things like mobile phone (1) distracts my minds from penetrating into things like study, create posting in mylot etc. (2) creates much availability of mine. Too much availability creates actually too much unavailability virtually resulting in loose interpersonal relations. (3) produces radiation resulting in a probable cellular mutation or a random cellular division in my body. Though mobile phone already convinced us by saying that mobile phones radiation are minimized to the intensity it does not harm yet. And what next? Yup.

I've gone a week without my cell phone & I actually prefer that way... I carry my phone mainly because of my work... Other than that, I could really care less about it... I mean yeah, it becomes little bother-some to contact people but I don't need to hang around the phone all the time...

At least a week! My cell phone is only ever noticed when it starts beeping due to a low battery. Then I see all the crap sms messages that the provider sends (all in the wrong language of course!) - no real messages or calls. It's a total waste of time. Talk to my face!

I have been in public places and looking around everyone was on a phone of some sort...It was amazing..I just smiled to myself and said 'wow"

I still own a Motorola Razr. I guess I can live a month without a cell phone, since I'm usually with my buddies that happen to have smart phones. I don't consider their cell phones to be any better than mine, but they do have those cosmetic-like functions that make it more simple to use.

I can stay a month without any cellphone since it's not that important to me, i'am only using for music player sometimes. i'am too lazy to reply on text of others and usually it's not important. Besides what's more important to me is that i can access the internet with my laptop.
