You have a good suggestion indeed,but it depends on the admin how they react to it.Mylot is a not a social networking site.It is a site where we participate in debates on various issues.Perhaps that's the reason why there is no social sharing button.I also have a suggestion.If the admin selects the best discussion of the week or month,I think it would make Mylot more interesting.

Hi redhotpogo,
I have a suggestion. You know when you go to start a new discussion and you have to look trough all of the avatars and topics to pick the topic for your discussion? (I hope that makes since.) Well, It takes a lot of time to search through all of the topics while just picking one of them before writing. They are not split up into groups like they are when you edit them. It would help a lot and save time if these were also organized so it would be much easier to go to that group and find which topic you wanted to discuss. Does anyone else agree with this? I hope you all can understand my question! If not, ask and I will try to explain better. Thanks and great question!

A suggestion I have is to get rid of the "add tags" feature, especially when you are just responding to a discussion--it really slows down the system and the time it takes to post a discussion, and sometimes, the system gets bogged down to the point that the response gets lost and doesn't post at all. I don't think many people use this feature when posting responses, at least, and I would like to see it eliminated.

The tagging feature is important.
When tagged correctly the discussions show up in the search and in the "similar topics" column over there --
making it possible to participate in dicsussions with similar topics.
Tags also take the discussions into the search engines outside mylot too.

I use the tag for responses too. Once you have tagged you will not be asked again.
If you start a topic in a certain interest and tag it, then you respond on other topics in the same interest, you can tag them with the same tags that you used on your own topic, which means it will appear whenever one of those on which you responded is open too. Then yours might receive more responses, giving you the chance to cmment again and increase your earnings.

Very true for the original discussion post, but is that really true for responses? That's when the mylot system seems to bog down, ESPECIALLY if you actually add some tags, which is why I stopped doing it.

I don't have any suggestions myself but that does seem like a really good idea to me too. Of course the links would not mean much to non members, but it would be a good way for members to share with other members when we post questions or when we answer questions that we think other people might find useful. I do think it is a really good idea.
