A woman in GALVESTON Texas protected her home with the dreadful paint ball gun. 
She suspected her yard help was steeling from her. Se decided to stay home on a day she is usually away from home. The thief carefully entered the home and began to riffle through things. He went upstairs and riffled through some more stuff. and decided on a package of chicken and a package of beef Ramen noodles and a handful of change. 
Near by were several jars filled with all kinds of change and a freezer full of steaks. The home owner peppered him as he came down the stairs with yellow paint balls. before hitting the thief with mustard colored paint balls she had called 911. When the police got to the home they caught the thief.
Now would you take a chance of getting caught for a hand full of change and a couple of packages of Ramen noodles? Would you take a chance using a paint ball gun to protect you home?

Like you, I also wonder why the thief would risk so much for so little. What would make him so desperate?
Paintballs hurt, especially when the victim isn't wearing any protective clothes. It could be especially disastrous (and painful) to be hit in the head.
I wonder how good a shot the home owner was? I imagine there were more than a few misses. Perhaps she will now decide to paint her walls yellow if she got a good start with the misses.
