I alway feel that do not have enough sleep.

I feel very tired these days. I go to bed at 11 in the night and get up at 7 in the morning. I think 8 hour sleep is enough to an adult as me. But I feel I need more sleep. Now in the afternoon, I always can not focus my attention on my work. If there is a chance for me to have a nap, I can fall asleep soon in 5 min. Is it normal for a health person? Is there any methods for me to avoid that situation?

normally 8 hours sleep is enough for healthy condition. I once felt like those 8 hours didnt enough to get mt energy back into my soul, and it happened when Im in stress mood. If Im thinking too much on some work/ bussines/ problem it will tiring me mentally. I think thats why I never feel enough by sleeping 8 hours. My body is enough with the sleep, but my mind/ mental need more and it affects my body. My suggestion is try to relax on your work, dont stress about something. Give ur mind relaxation before sleep like listening slow music, wathing tv, or reading a book. Hope it can help.

Thank you for your suggestion. I now feel great mental stress. As I can not get my degree in time, my job can not settle now. I have to work hard in the workplace, while can not get full payment. I am not quite sure about my future. Maybe that is the very reason for me can not relax very well. I will try to find doctor's help to get rid of the situation.

It is good that you get the full eight hours sleep, because that it the amount that you're supposed to have. However, not everyone is exactly the same, and you might find that you don't really need the same amount of sleep as other people do. If you need more, then you should give yourself more, and maybe go to bed a little earlier. The fact that you can get to sleep so quickly shows that you are tired and maybe you do need a little more sleep, so just experiment with it and see what makes you feel better.

When I was the freshman in the college, I only sleep 6 hour a day, and use all the awake time on my study. In the year, I feel tired. Now, I am not as busy as in the college time, so I try to get enough sleep. But after taking 8 hour's sleep, I still can not recover. Maybe I should do a test to find out how many hours is suitable for me, and make a timetable for my activity.

I think you get enough sleep.. But i know people who sleep earlier and wake up earlier who are more healthy.. I don't really know why, maybe it is better to sleep when you are sleepy.. or maybe it is because of the REM cycle they wake up in.. It is best to wake up in the first 2 stages..

I think so. But the feeling is true. I now try to make my REM meet my timetable, so that I can feel full of energy in my worktime. Try to go to bed 5 min a day, and just my sleep time to the suitable time may be a good choice.

For women and children they say they should have at least 10 hours, better 12 hours of sleep at night to stay healthy. They also say that the hours you sleep before midnight (so 12) count. You only sleep 1 hour or even less before 12 so you do have a lack of sleep.

I hope that is true. In weekends and holiday, I usually sleep more than 10 hours in the night, if take the nap time into consider, the total sleep time for a day is more then 12 hours. That makes me feel very confortable. But I can not make it in the workday. Lacking of sleep to me is a punishment,but to survive in the modern world, many people have to give up their sleep time.

I heard that if you sleep too much it will result in you being more sleepy. Just suggestion though, try to sleep for only 6-7 hours. When you first wake up it will be tiring but after a while you will feel more refreshed throughout the day.

I know sleep too much will not bring good feelings. But I think 8 hour is not very much. If sleep less than 8 hours, I can only keep myself awake, but can not do any complicated works. My job needs my attention and energy.
