Be courteous to all, but intimate with few; and let those be well-tried before you give them your confidence - George Washington, 1732-1799. Do you agree with him?

yes of course i believe that it is important that we only show intimac to the people we are really close with. It is alright to be courteous and o would even suggest tat we be courteous to everyone we meet...

I agree with the statement entirely. In live, it is a good habit to be courteous to everyone, but given the misgivings of humans in general, not everyone should be entrusted with information about your life. Hence, to whom you are placing your life in their hands, it would be good to try to ensure that persons are trustworthy individuals before awarding them with intimate information about you.

hi honeypals oh I really do as that makes sense even today in our modern society.Well tested is correct as so many tims we give our confidence to the wrong person as we did not learn and observe what kind of person they were before 'just giving blind trust.Old George really said a great' mouthful that time.
