There were thousands of app for you smart phone, iPhone, and iPad which are useful. Lately, I discovered this useful app which is available for your iPad in the case you are waiting for a table in a restaurant. This App called "Nosh List" can notify you instantly when your table is about to be ready while you are out in the shopping center browsing the stores. Which is a great app for your favorite restaurant waiting list, don't you think?

Sounds interesting, this one..how does it work? Does the reataurant have to be signed up for this app also to be able to inform you about the table being ready?
Being in the restaurant business myself,I'm aware of some non-apple related gadgets that have a similar function..when you show up at the restaurant for your table, and it's not ready, the staff can direct you to a bar or waiting area, and give you an electronic "drinks coaster" that a member of the party keeps with you..each of these gadgets is a pager device that can be called by the staff to alert you when your table is ready..the battery powered gadget can vibrate,and/or flash LED lights to alert you.

ok,so I checked out this app's demo video..all it takes is for the restaurant to have bought their own ipad with this app loaded to work..(factoring the cost of an ipad against a dedicated paging system, which,as the demo guy points out,can be stolen
)and a customer with a cellphone who doesn't mind the establishment having their contact number (does it have to be an iphone?
) to respond to a text message..texting can be not the most reliable form of communication in my experience..some cell providers can get lagged-I myself have had texts arrive hours after they were sent, and that's not at high traffic times like New Year's Eve.I've also experienced pre-booked reservations who are "No-Shows" and either can't (or won't) pick up or respond to a courtesy reminder call,(assuming there was no error in giving or taking the number anywhere along the chain..)a good idea for an app,as long as the human error factor can be avoided..

That is a good idea for an app. It will come in handy when you're waiting for your table. I will look in to that one. Especially next time I go out to eat with my girl friend. I hate waiting in line and I just hate waiting in general. So this app would be a great addition.
