I am so incredibly thirsty. Nothing quenches my thirst. I have been drinking water all day. My tongue also is white, it must be my diabetes acting up again. Any ideas?

My son gets a dry mouth from his meds. The doctor asked me if I could get him to rinse his mouth with equal amounts of water and vinegar. He says that sometimes bacteria can start and that the vinegar will clean his mouth out and also help with the dryness.

I have heard that vinegar is helpful in stabilizing blood sugar as well.

you must be dehydrated.. if it is something dangerous as you have diabetes, maybe its time to seek a doctor.

winterose you should have a glucometer of your own and check three times at least each day I am surprised you do not check your own each day as its dangerous not to know what make you high or low eaCH DAY?

It could very well be the diabeties. I don't have diabeties (and have been tested in the past). But I get very thirsty, and nothing helps I can drink until it makes me sick. I have a cup of ice and slowly suck or chew on it over time.

It sounds like it is your diabetes to me, but I am no doctor. What do you usually do in this situation? Have you checked your blood sugar? The clients I worked with had various protocol for an assortment of conditions. Often it involved drinking water, which you are already doing and walking, which is hard for you, but you have been doing a lot of. Keep track of your symptoms and make sure to get help if you need it.

No, but I know how it feels to be thirsty. The only thing that uenches my thrst is water. I woke up from a nap this afternoon, too late. The landlady had already turned our water off to fix some stuff. I knew it was going to be off, just lost track of the time. Next time that happens I'm going to fill one of the big bottles that we bought for travelling, so we'll have something to drink.

I've seen my mom in law having this problem due to diabetes. I remember she keeps drinking too much because she always feel thirsty and what she doesn't like is she keep going back to the bathroom to pee as well.

I have no idea, I dont have diabetes but I always am very thirsty. I can drink bottles and bottles of water and still be thirsty. But I can only drink cold water, the water that just comes out of the tap is not cold enough. But I usually end up drinking a lot of pop because it has a great flavor. But for figuring out how to help you I'm not sure, maybe visit the doctor and see what they say.

I am not asking for help I am under a doctor's care I am just making a discussion. But in your case have you been tested for diabetes because this is one of the symptoms, also medication can have that side effect.

I know this is the reason, I have diabetes long enough, But I just realized it is a side effect of the medication, and the doctor knows about it

Ok then. My dear Winterose, continue to monitor the situation (with your Doctor's assistance of course), and all the best in that regard, ok?
