Today is the first day of summer vacation and its almost 1:00 pm ,we woke up really late 10:30 am , I worry if I am going to find good activities for my 2 boys who are 5 and 10 years old. Today we just cleaned the house a little bit , I asked them to do whatever i feel they can and then I am planning to take them for swimming , and ask the schedule for swimming classes , they have soccer on saturday , but what about the rest of the week? I am afraid they will want to watch or play too much computer and tv. What suggestions can you give me for them to be busy? Thanks.

I would say stick with things like swimming, going for walks, invite some of their friends over (but don't let them watch tv or play video games), have a big water balloon fight in the back yard. Try to find some outdoor activities that you all three will enjoy. Take them to the park. Just keep them active. Good luck!

Summer vacation was already far from near our system because here in the Philippines classes just started last June 4.We have our Christmas vacation in December 20,I just guess, and that ends till January 7,classes then start again till March or April to the other schools here. Before I let my children enrolled in a swimming class so that they do not feel bored and sometimes we have some bowling and badminton.

Art lessons? Work on their homework? Do research? Do projects? Meet their friends? Have fun? I don't know. In my country, the kids are filled with tuition classes during their holidays that they usually spend their vacation studying and doing homework. Maybe a short road trip?
