Airline mergers not good for passengers

Before the airline mergers the planes would provide services which are important for comfort of a plane. You try to be on a plane 4 or 5 five hours and they wont even give you peanuts and a coke. What if you just spent everything just to get the tickets. It used to be that they did provide services however after the influx of mergers it seems that is trending downward. Loook at continental and united. trending downward hope Southwest keeps its service flying.

No airline mergers are not good for the travelling public. Less competition leads to less services for consumers, and even the ones you do get they charge you for, like bag fees. Southwest has always had a different model to their business, they do not seem to follow the "me too" approach, and they have always been profitable. I own one airline stock and Southwest is it. They don't try to gobble up routes by expanding into areas just because some other airline services it, they pick and choose routes and airports where they can maximize profits by filling planes and minimizing fees.

I have not flown Southwest in some years but my recent experience with United was not good. Before they bought continental continental was cool but now they started downsizing and taking away services. I am starting a survey of the top and worsst airports and airlines. I am interested what others say. I have had some experience.
