Helped with a huge sale today!

Today at work I did my regular job and went up to a customer to see if he needed help. He did and what I thought was a normal sale quickly turned into this man choosing tons of clothes. At first I didn't think he would actually buy it all but he did. The total of everything was about $7000. I was the only associate helping him and it's the biggest purchase anyone has ever made with me.
Our store usually does large sales like that...a few weeks ago they did a $400k sale of beauty products. But we've never had a huge purchase like that made in my section. It was really exciting and all of the managers were really happy.
I didn't get anything more than my regular hourly wage but it made me feel really good knowing I helped with a sale that big. Too bad every day couldn't be like that lol

It may not do you good financially, but at least that would surely remind your managers what you are capable of. Perhaps a promotion someday. Just make sure that you are always on-the-go and helpful with you job. Perseverance is key and of course respect would always be appreciated.
It's good that you have shown people in your workplace what you are capable of! Congratulations!

Thank you :) And you're right, all the managers and supervisors have seen what I'm able to do for the store after that huge sale. The managers still talk about it and come up to me to tell me good job. I'll be at the store for a year in October and I may end up with a raise when they do their reviews on me. I'll keep up the good work and only hope for the best :)
