Music of Justin Beiber, Selena Gomez, One Direction, David Guetta, Usher, Black eyed peas, Lady Gaga etc. are "in" for the youth of today. The new Spiderman and upcoming new Batman movie are some of the big thing of today's youth.
But I still listen to the music of Matt Monroe, Natalie Cole, Beatles.
Though I was born on the New wave, Spandau ballet, Depeche mode era and even love to watch some Hollywood classic like "How to Kill a Mocking Bird", "Gone with the wind" etc.
I had my youth listening to boy bands like Backstreet boys, Nsync, Guns and Roses, ACDC etc.
Do you agree that the kind of songs or genre a person likes, the movies he/she loves to watch determines how old he/she is?

Well, I think that some of the music that we listen to does determine our age to a certain extent, but I don't think that it does it exclusively. The reason that I say that is because of the fact that the music that I first remember listening to was music from the 60s and 70s because of the fact that was what my parents listened to. Then, yes, I did listen to New Kids of the Block and Backstreet Boys, but now I listen to a lot of country music and this is the music that my children prefer as well.

not really. I also love the music of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber and of course, one direction! Even when I'm turning older, I'm still going to stay on the music that I like. I don't need to pretend or like only older music because that represents my age. I just like what I like. You don't have to change your preferences just because society says so :)
