hubby's gone again for 2 nights and 3 days :( the most its ever been

i know to many people it doesnt sound like that long of a time but we are not use to him working out of town. the past month this will be his 3rd time out of town. the 1st 2 times it was for 1 night. the 1st time i was able to enjoy the peace and enjoy myself :) the 2nd time i had a tooth ache and was miserable. this time it is an extra night and day so i am hoping that all will go well and i can get the house clen today and just relax tonight. it is nice sometimes to get the house to myself and to just enjoy the peace and quiet. there may be some storms tonight. they are calling for it every day this week. my husband and i usually watch storms come in together but maybe i can do that myself :) i will say atleast he uses his bosses phone and calles me each night that he is gone. the guy he is with (his boss) said they he may hitch a ride back with the other guys that are going to be driving back and forth. i asked my husband if he does that if he would come with him and he said he didnt know it all depended on the room they had and if he goes and if he felt like riding every day for 3 hours to get back to the job site. i have a feeling he wont be back tonight lol but i do not blame him there.
well all i can hope for is that time flies by fast and that i can enjoy a little ME time in the process :)

I hope that you too are able to enjoy the time that you have to yourself.Three days would be along for me as well if my husband had to work out of town. I though would try to keep myself very busy around the house and try to plan someone with my friends or family members. This way I'm not stuck thinking about it all the time.

i am enjoying it so far. my kids are asleep even tho it wook longer with the youngest than the oldest which is very rare but after she went to sleep it is nothing but peace and wuiet lol. i was thinking about bed but it isnt very often that the house is this quiet so i decided to stay up for a while and just enjoy it a little more :)
many peoplee are like only 3 days???!!??? SO!! but they do not understand we are not use to being apart and if i am at my grandmas we talk on the phone and online which isnt an option when he is out of town.
i have been keeping myself busy and trying to keep the kids occupied so they are not looking for their daddy.

I'm glad that you decided to stay up and enjoy that time to yourself. I often feel that way in the evenings. Even though I'm usually really tired when my daughter has fallen asleep I feel that I should stay up and get things done around the house, or work on the computer. Hope things are still going well for you.

Honestly, in the eight years that my husband and I have been married, there has only been one time that he was away from me overnight and that one time was because he was in the hospital and I didn't have anyone to watch my son so I had to leave him overnight at the hospital. That was really hard for me to deal with.
As far as a business trip goes, the one time that my husband took a business trip, the children and I actually went with him and did fun things like visiting the zoo and a museum while he was taking his class for work.

wow that is great 1 that you have been married for 8 years :) and 2 that you havent had to be away from him all that much. we are use to staying apart because i use to stay at my grandmas house 2 nights a week to help her out and i still stay 2 or 3 nights a week but it is diffrent because we can talk on the phone and online all the time. when he is gone we talk 1 time when he has a chance to call me and that is it.
im sorry you had to leave him while he was in the hospital. i am sure that really was hard for you. i think it would have been for me to. i hope that everything was ok.....
i wish i could go with him on the trips but the boss is paying for him and about 25 other people to be down there so i would just be in the way with the kids because they are young.
