Wow, I am really not into the whole public marriage proposal type thing, but even I actually think that this was pretty amazing! It must have taken a lot of time, effort and work on the part of many people not just the groom-to-be in order to get it all coordinated and beautifully executed. She is definitely one lucky gal, and how could she possibly have said "no" to that?!

He didn't propose. I said 'why don't you marry me, then you can torment me for the rest of my life'. He said ok and somehow we ended up married.

Quite cute, good song as well. I hope their marriage works out, it is certainly clear that all the family and friends support it to put that much effort into. A production like that is high on the pressure for the girl to say yes but I imagine he is fairly sure. I am not a big fan of marriage proposals. The only person who ever proposed to me did so in the street on his knees and I was too embarrassed to say no, especially when some people passing by urged me to say yes but they really had no idea what was going on. We had not known each other more than a month and the engagement lasted 3 weeks after I found him impossible to live with. It turned out that he was looking for an easy life in Australia but I sent him home to England and hope I never see him again.

I quite agree with you that it was a very short time. I was emotionally vulnerable at the time but I got over it before I made a horrible mistake. As to the wedding, I imagine it would be a lot of fun, the guy has lots of style and family and friends willing to help. At least the girl knows that she is welcome, something that does not always happen. I hope they will both be happy. To me true love is when you love someone with all their flaws and you do not try to change them because if you did they would no longer be the person you love. So many people I know have ruined their relationships by trying to change their partner. There are a lot of women who seem to believe that once you are married you can create the man you want. All it does is make married life miserable and often ends in divorce.

A week isn't very long to "know" someone. I am sure, as are you, that you did the right thing in sending him packing. I know that the man and the woman in the video had known each other for six years and she said that she knew quite quickly what was happening. Apparently he goes in for this type of grand gesture! Goodness knows what the wedding will be like.

Hi pIke, I downloaded the song from youtube. I could not follow the whole lyric. But I enjoyed the song. Because I like the tune and rhythm of the song.

Wow, that is absolutely awesome! What a production. They must rehearsed that a few times up and down the street first. It was perfect. Would have been really awkward to say no to a marriage proposal like that one.

He must have been pretty certain. The girl said afterwards that she worked out what was happening when his parents appeared..... Her parents were on one of the computers that she was shown apparently and her mother wore her wedding dress!

Oh, I missed that detail on the laptop. I did figure that they must have been friends or family who could not make it to the actual event in person. I thought it was a nice touch.

Wow! Sure beats my "Maybe we should get married" after viewing some rentals, posing as a married couple.

I was rendered speechless!! This is the most amazing proposal I have ever seen. There are no words that can adequately explain my reaction to this one. I'm assuming the same is true for you since you hardly said anything! LOL And, I agree - no one who doesn't love someone goes to this much trouble. Not to mention how much his friends and family love him and how much fun this couple is going to have together. Still can't properly explain my impression!!
