If we enjoy our work, we won't entertain the word 'hard'. I work at the ER for 12 hours a day for 4 days. ratio is 1:3 (mixed patient of ICU, ward and ambulatory). You cant imagine it.They would even steal my day off. It's physically tiring and emotionally draining as patients are too demanding and co workers don't help but what's making me stay is my passion and God's protection. Love your work and it will love you back! Good luck!

hi ottranscednd I worked most of my adult life in hospitals as a nurses aide and yes it was demanding, tiring and also worthwhile too as I loved helping other people. You either love this job or hate if and those who hate last very few days. You cannot be selfish and you cannot be thinking of yourself when You are helping others as your mind must be on your patients at all times.i was lucky that I worked with some of the best and kindest nurses and aides in the world.i even met my husband to be as he was the new orderly and I waas the old aide lol lol.we feel in love at first sight and we were married 33 years.

Hey there, Well you must be a great one, i think that people are different when it comes to expressing how they feel at work i may say that it is hard but that doesn't mean i dislike what i do, it is just the way i feel and how i express my feelings as they say different strokes for different folks, Hi there Hatley thanks for sharing and someday i hope to have a marriage just like yours long and full of love.

Think for the bright side, I can see myself on you. I started with a low rate monetary value, but it did payed off. The fact, it is a part for a training ground and be grateful to have an experience-wise opportunity.

Hey there jrys, A ped's nurse well i was assigned in ped's for 2 month's and it was a riot, but i had a blast it is actually there where i learned to hold a baby feed a baby and make sure to make them burp since this is one of there issues if they don't get to burp then get ready for crying and angry baby's don't forget the vomit.

hi deodavid I spent at least half of my work life as a nurses aid in the hospital and I might not h ave been rich with money but with feeling needed, that I was helping others and not just selfishly taking up space in this world. Helping people is wonderful , hard, 'tiring but it pays in so many ways, not much money but in a lot of other ways.God bless you in your caring for people and it will pay off one day,and your future will be in deed bright.
