OK now I didn't want any info going to my General Dr about this as yet but someone I know leaked it out without asking me first. He got info from that person about my ovary cyst surgery on Tuesday and thyroid problem, and now he says thyroid illness doesn't have anything to do with my ovary cyst surgery when my Gyn Dr said the thyroid thing I have sometimes causes it to happen. I know for a fact she is right, I looked it up on the Internet. Then ppl wonder why I didn't want to tell him anything abut this til after the surgery. He is supposedly angry with me cause I wouldn't give out her name when he called me yesterday. I haven't even been to him since Sept of last year.

I consider this particular issue and the responses very educational and insightful. For me, this is good guide to help users in the correct and wise choice of doctors. I think the first doctor will not get hurt if a patient looks for a 2nd or 3rd. Doctors perhaps knew patients have the liberty on this matter, however tact and diplomacy must be consider not to offend anyone of them.

Nailtech from what you said I think you need a better
general doctor as he also should h ave seen thyroid can cause a lot of stuff. i am a diabetic and really was eating right but
still not losing weight.he ordered a thyroid test and bingo low thyroid so he put me on medication and I started to lose weight'too.I had two quack general doctors till I switched to my doctor I have now and he is not a quack.I have been with him for some fifteen years and he often has sent me to a specialist for
certain problems. You need a great general doctor whose expertise you trust.then if he or she needs to send you to a specialist
the two will generally agree
