New clothes for special day, do you think is it important?

I think, one of some reasons to buy clothes is because there is a special day for you. Usually, when celebrate great day like christmas and Idul Fitri for moslems. I know some people think that it is important. what do you think? i think taht it is because we happy to celebrate the great day and new clothes will bring new spirit.

You are right about it adhyz. and that is why i write the discussion. In my princip, we try to wear the best clothes when we praying or worship to Allah. because we often thinking about our clothes before we meet someone special, let say she is your special lady or your boss at the office. So, as long as we have budget to spend money for great day like Ramadhan or Idul Fitri, why not? Sad to know, some people spent much money for their look at office or others but does not care when praying or face God. Thx for respond this topic.

we use the simple logical sista..
when you want to face or meet your boss, of course you did not want to use the usual dress , right?? you want to perform with the great personality and apperances and it is include the dress, right??
and God is more and more important than your boss, right..
God is boss of the boss..The owner of this world, the owner of our life..right??

I always think that maybe like buying new clothes is one of my weakness, because I think the clothes in the last year represent the old time and seems not available for me. So I like to buy new clothes in the beginning of each season, but this opinion cost me a lot of money...

Yes, different people has different reason for buying new clothes. it is ok but generally as i know, special day or if when there is special occasion, people think to looking for good clothes to wear and it can be one of they reason for buying new clothes. thx for your response.

i second your thought completely. New clothes on a special auspicious occasion brings great joy and excitement in a person and he gets into that occasion completely. The zeal and enthusiasm of that people donning the new outfits increases manifold.

Hi subhojit. It is mean you agree with the reason, right? Because It is reasonable, people would like to get new spirit when wearing new clothes and feel excited athough it is not be same to everyone. I just corious how mylottres think about it. thx for respond.

For me it depends, when the occasion calls for it, why not? But if I have something that I could use in my closet, I don't think I would bother. Maybe I'll just spend it on fashion jewelry or any other accessory to add oomph to my outfit.

I agree with you Raine. I will consider about the occasion. but I buy clothes not just because there is special day as long as i have money surely. LOL. It does not matter to wearing old clitjes but it is still proper to wear for some occasion or special day, si i will wear it. Thx for join in this topic.

if it was important, say a wedding that i had to play an important part in, i would buy something new but just for Christmas? i cannot afford to do that. i cannot afford to buy new clothes for just any old occasion that comes around because i don't use credit and other things like bills and food are more important than a new outfit.

I agree with you that wedding is a important occasion. and we spend money to buy new clothes. but here in my country, buying new clothes for great day in religion like christmas and idul fitri, we spend money too for new clothes and food. Althoug no everyone thinking like that but it is like habit generally. Everyone would like to be look special. but there is meaning actually.

Buying new clothes makes anyone happy and feel good. In my opinion, you can buy clothes even if there is no special occasion. If and only if you need it and you can afford it. Let's say your shoes is worn out and has holes underneath. You do not wait for Christmas to buy a new one. You could buy it immediately unless of course you are waiting for a Christmas bonus that you will use to buy. On the other hand if you have a huge closet full of clothes, you should just recycle your clothes so save the money for other stuff like food and/or saving for your future. I believe what's important is how you live. Your attitude towards yourself, family, others, nature and God/Allah.

Thank for response. As I told in first line of my discussion, it can be one of many reason for people to buy new clothes. Yes, surely, if you have money, you did not need to wait a special occasion for buying new clothes. When the clothes have no proper more or you did not like more or for others reason. Here, I told new clothes and the relation with special occasion.

I do not wear new clothes to celebrate special days. Except when I was a child. My parents always buy new clothes. But I bought new clothes for my children, at any time when needed, not when the special day.

Thx mr HSofyan. Yes, for adult, they thinking for their children first. Usually, when we celebrate Iedul Fitri day, Children are so proud with their new clothes. And for adult, the most important is new heart after fasting during a month. But It is ok about adult who celebrate it by wearing new clothes too.
