I totally agree. Getting there is often more fun than being there. It's happened over and over to me. I think I want something and I start working toward it and really enjoy the challenge, but once I'm finished and the thing or destination is mine, it quickly becomes boring and I'm looking for something else. That applies to fixing up the house to taking a special vacation, to having XX dollars in savings and so on.

I agree with this statement. Normally we have many goals in life and for most of us its the same for every stages ie. we go school, we get a job, we get married, have a house, etc.. and we complete each goals different from one another, by when, how and the journey that we took to achieve our goals are the best part in our lives! cheers

I do agree that this is the case, but I think that far too many people just think about the end result and then completely forget about everything in the middle, which is such a great shame because as you say the journey is by far to best part about any of it. I have just got a degree and there were a lot of people who were spending their time thinking about how they need good grades for their end result, but I was just enjoying the time as it was happening, and I know that I got a lot more out of my three years than they did in the end.

I agree too with the worthy statement of yours. But I would like to add some views of mine. I feel people realize the importance of your statement after they reach their destination. To add this point if mine with an example, I would like to share the fear I had of getting good grades in my high school, I studied, got worried on various days. Ended up scoring 94% marks, no doubt I had reached my goal, but I somewhere missed my worries. I recollected those memories and likewise believed in what you said. I have many more instances and I am sure many of you may may have experienced it too. I also learnt that we should always enjoy the time we are in.
