Do you prefer nuts or chocolate (or both!) in your banana bread? I can't seem to get enough of this. It won't require any heavy lifting, and or me after surgery it's thats fine. If it gets too hot again though I may have to put it off til the weather gets back down to the 70's or so.

I finally have enough ripe bananas so that I can make a banana bread. Up to now, I had only made banana muffinds (they are also awesome with blueberries and bananas). I got this recipe from the web. The picture looks beautiful, but I`m not sure if I should add vanella. I`ll post after I eat it, to tell you all how it came out.

I made the banana bread and we ate it all in two days. It was awesome. I can`t wait until I have more ripe bananas.

Wowsers, that must have been good! I have one piece left of my pumpkin banana bread now and have to get to the store to buy some more butter or I can't make it again LOL. I wanna make one more loaf before Thanksgiving at least. I'm the only one who'll eat it here though so it isn't getting used up that fast.

Vanilla would be very good with it I'm sure I add it to my recipe all the time. Let me now how it turned out. We have very ripe bananas alot here so that is why I make it fairly often. I just made a pumpkin banana bread the other day and it is like heaven, yummy! Walnuts in it as well.

I like black walnuts in mine. Banana bread is so good with alittle butter and warmed. You could make it at night when it cools down. I used to make it all the time and had perfected a recipe. That was ten or more years ago now. I would love to have a slice right now. Yum!

Yes you are making me hungry now. Good thing I made another loaf recently again, and came back to this discussion haha. I don't make things like that at night much as my dad seems to take over the kitchen that time of the day cause he never watches TV. Even if he did he would have to fight with my brother over it here, haha. It is a wierd situation I know. But anyways, the pumpkin banana bread I made recently was delicious. I'm so glad I still have more pumpkin in a can leftover that I put in the freezer, I hope it keeps for at least a few weeks.

I have had chocolate in my banana bread, but I can't have nuts in it because of allergies. I do put in coconut which really gives it a great texture and taste. I don't bake it much because Bill doesn't much care for it and I don't eat a lot of it either. I do love experimenting with things like banana bread to see what I can develop. I make a killer carrot cake that tastes like pumpkin cake. I add pumpkin pie spice rather than the spices recommended in the recipe. I never have left over cake when I make it that way. Plus I also double the frosting too. I love cream cheese and hate getting a piece of carrot cake with a skimpy layer of frosting on it.

I know lots of people have allergies to nuts. I think I'm one of them. Peanuts especially but I still eat it, sad to say. I broke out in such a humongous eczema rash on my back and torso during my hospital stay, it was only there for a few days as I had some hydrocortisone cream to put on it, which helped right away at least. I remember making some peanut butter granola before I went in and tasted it but thats all the peanut products I had in a long time. My nerves has something to do with it as well I'm sure. That killer carrot cake sounds wonderful, I have to try it myself. I love pumpkin in most things.I have to double the frostings as one whole can isn't enough anymore. Cream cheese frosting is delicious and one of my faves!!

Is chocolate bad for teeth? I don't know, Perhaps it's the banana bread itself. Well, if you brush your teeth enough it shouldn't be so bad afterall.

I love banana bread! It's also one of those things which I can make that doesn't end up in the trash bin :). I prefer it to be plain though. But my kid siblings prefer almond nuts in it so I just make 2 separate loaves.

Wow, it's always good not having to throw anything in the trash bin as far as food is concerned. Plain is also good, I don't usually put anything in it but thought I would this next time I make it.

I have never made zucchinni bread, I have no idea what it tastes like either. I don't have any of them in the house so I thought a banana kind would be better. I doubt the weather will allow it now though, it won't be as cool as it was late this past week. Both nuts and chocolate is an idea too.
