Hi LadyM! I'm baaaackkkkk! This is one of the most moronic stories I've read in a while! I don't for the life of me understand how sooooooo many people could be soooooooo stupid! WTF would anyone walk on hot coals and believe that they aren't going to get burned?I don't care who this azzwhole is or what he tells them-What if he told them to jump out of an airplane without a parachute (thankfully he didn't suggest that too). He only suggested walking on hot coals???

That makes 2 of us who are baaaackkkkk!!! I missed you even though I didn't know you were gone. I've heard that the lesson he was teaching was to not blindly follow what others tell you to do...makes it even MORE moronic in my opinion!!!

I am daft LadyM but I am not stupid. I readily acknowledge the concept of mind over matter but the idea of causing myself actual bodily harm to prove to myself that I have supreme confidence strikes me as a step too far! Any puns intended.

I agree 100% P1key. I am confident enough to know I could do it if I so desired, but I do NOT have the desire to challenge my confidence!!! I wonder how long it will be before the lawsuits start pouring in???

That reminds me of the old adage: you can't fix stupid! So glad to see you again!! I heard you hurt your hand, I hope your boo-boo is all better!

I used to have a neighbor who rolled in broken glass & walked on hot coals without any evidence of injury. She always told me that it was mind over matter & if you truly believed that your mind would stop the pain & any injury. She was always wanting to teach me how to do it. I assured her that my mind fully believed that it would hurt & I had NO desire to try it!!! I guess my stupid never needed to be fixed!!! I didn't hurt my hand. My dogs knocked me down & it broke my wrist. That part of the boo-boo is all better thank goodness!!! Since then I've had bigger problems that I won't go into here & it will be a loonnngggg time before that boo-boo will ever go away!!! However, it is GREAT to be back & I truly missed everyone while I was away!!!

No, that I would not do! I have enough pain running through my feet and ankles from the neuropathy there is no way I would stand on burning coals and make that pain worse. Haha! But truthfully no I wouldn't even if I didn't have neuropathy because I am a wimp and dont like pain!

Since it's one of those things that takes mind over matter, I probably could do it. However, no matter how I think about it, I still have that nagging doubt that I could do it which means I can't draw up the TOTAL confidence needed!!! I think I can't draw up to confidence needed because I really, really don't care to try it!!! My neighbor made outrageous money performing her act for parties & the like. I decided that I didn't need money that bad!!!

I will not dare to do it. Unless, if you are professional performer in a circus. Then, they can do it. I still love myself to have a third degree burn.
