Malaysia XI vs Arsenal

July 24, 2012 12:35pm CST
Hello! It was lovely watching the local boys play against Arsenal and they did put up a fair fight and it was a bit embarrassing for the Gunners I might add for the late pick-up. Will Arsenal be playing against your country anytime soon? Have you ever watched Arsenal play live? And by the way, Arsenal won against Malaysia 2-1. Like I said, a good game !

Hello! This happened several hours ago on the 24th . Im going through all the articles now on how sports journalists found the match. The most flattering one for Malaysians I guess is 'Arsenal saved from blushes with last minute goals'. Ah yes, Manchester City is the next team to be playing with team Malaysia. Cant wait for that one either! All the best with your bucket list! Where do you think van Persie will go?

So i missed it but i don't want to miss the other one with Manchester City. I don't where Van Persie will go and i don't think that anyone can think or guess about it not even Van Persie himself. Not before the end of the season. He is definitely not going to Manchester City. I hate to see Van Persie go from Arsenal if you want to know the truth. I can't even imagine him playing him for another club.

I saw the game on TV.. Arsenal were very bad today, but the Malaysia all stars team were kinda good. I really liked the goalkeeper and the one that score the goal, they gave really good game. Arsenal won by fluke let's hope they'll be better in the english league. as for your question Arsenal won't be here anytime soon and I never got to see them from the pitch in live game only training.

Hahahaha LOL yeah they were pretty off! I was really hoping that it was their first stop in their Asian Tour that they would go off with a bang, not just well-off. Oh thats cool, at least you've seen them train. I too hope you get to watch them live and a good one at that with a formidable opponent not just some fluke win. Manchester City are coming to Malaysia next, do you think what City is doing in terms of just buying class , ruining football?

I think for the Malaysian fans it must have been real fun. The down side though some of the bigger names and new signings did not join the team. But is good to see these clubs comes to Asia on a regular basis now. Cheers! Ram

The games are about trying to get the players match fit for the forthcoming season and the results to not really matter.

Many many years ago, they came to Singapore for the off-season Caltex Cup. Not sure if anyone remember this. For the inaugural year, their opponent were Liverpool. Imagine the excitement between both set of fans. But the tournament stopped after the second year. Since then, Arsenal has not come to this part of the world. I have intention of going to Kuala Lumpur to watch them this year but work does not permit so. Hopefully, they will be back again next year.
