My son's nanny told us that she got a dream at around 3 in the morning that my wife is alling hs brother telling him that we are going to fire her because whe just let the hot water on a kettle stayed in the floor where my son can reach that. She also told us that her dream was really like real one, so she haven't slept from then. I told her that most of the dreams happened in reverse but she told us that when you dream at those time might happen in reality. I really don't know if that is true. By the way, I also experience such dream that I feel it was real. In my dreams, I cried so hard because of a very dramatic situation. When I woke up, I really feel tired. How about you mylotters, have you also tried this kind of dreams that you thought it was real?

Dreams that can seem very real can be terrifying. I had one 3 nights ago. I was so scared that before confiding it to my husband, I whispered this bad dream to a plant. Maybe, I'm a Little superstitious but they say when you tell a bad dream to a plant, it won't come true. I know, it's really silly. My husband laughed at me of course, but it's a habit for me. Well, better safe than sorry. Knock on wood :(

Sometimes, there's nothing wrong with following some myths. Howeve, if you are really obsessed in following it is already bad.

Not, really. And I don't have nightmares often, so I don't talk to plants all the time :) Anyway, as they say dreams are just dreams but prayers are the best comfort if still in doubt.

You are right, prayers still works best.

I've had extremely vivid dreams, but personally I'm not the least bit superstitious. I don't believe that dreams have any symbolic/subconscious/prophetic meaning, and that they are merely the result of random nerve firings in the brain while we sleep. I would tell her not to pay it any mind, least she slack off on the job and make her getting fired a self-fulfilling prophecy. I have also heard the myth that vivid dreams or early morning dreams come true, and in my experience I believe it to just be a myth.

Sometimes, I do believe that dream has meaning but I don't know what. The one she said that it will come true is really a myth. It will be on her hands if that will really happen. We just told her that what she dreamt of will be far from reality.

I used to think that dreams had meaning, and I used to read all sorts of stuff about dream's meaning, but I've since decided dream interpretation is about as exact as horoscope predictions.. and I don't take those seriously at all. I hope she's still working for you and hasn't done anything rash. lol

Mine too, I know that there are some meanings of dreams but I did not took a chance to search for my dream. Yes, you should not rely on the meaning of the dreams since you are just like making a prediction of your life.

Everyone, at some point, would have had similar dreams. Our brain is capable of simulating a real life actions consciously/sub-consciously as such, we may experience this even when we are sleeping. It maybe related to stress that triggers that or anxiety. The remedy to it is to stay positive and be happy always! :)

I guess you got a good recommendation. Sometimes, when we really think of something, we tend to carry them in our dreams and see it as real one.
