Save electricity and water

Generally whenever i go out for some work whether it is for 10 minutes or hours i use to check out the taps of water are not open, lights,fans are not on, better i do switch off the main switch. This helps in reducing considerably the electricity and water expenses as well as waste of water and electric energy. Some people i have noticed are so negligent that they are not doing it and there is a wastage of much water and electricity. At least i try to save these limited resources from my side. I think as a cautious citizen it is the duty to adopt the same habit. What do you think.

There are a variety of reasons that it is a great idea for us to conserve both water and electricity. First of all, by our conserving in our own homes, we are able to reduce the rates that we are paying for our monthly bills. This means that our families will be more fiscally healthy. In addition to that, these are both resources that are limited. By taking the steps to conserve where we can, this is something that means that our resources will last a little bit longer.

Thanks for the topic and i think it is really important to make people aware of this,i do not water water and everytime i remember to close the tap after using and electricity is more important i think.Thus,to make one effort to the world and have a nice day.

Hello Roshigo,
That's good habit even i too try to switch OFF all the electrical appliances if they are not being used by anyone like i have seen many people they don't switch off fans or lights even if there is no one in that room which is not good at all they should understand it that the resources are diminishing day by day and we have to stop wastage of it.

That is a very nice habit. I am exactly same and realize the importance of these limited sources. But I see many people settling with the price hike in these resources but not caring to utilize it instead of wasting. I along with a friend of mine keep eyes on every tap that is made for public use. I feel need of the hour is to start penalizing the persons who are found wasting such valuable things. Only then they will learn to respect everything we get.

Saving electricity and water is a must for every person to do.This activity will help us to prevent scarcity of those basic resources needed for survival of life in Earth. In my house, we try not to use shower anymore because it waste a lot of water. we just use pail and deeper.Instead of using 3 lights at night we agreed to use only 1 now.This is not only to save money but to preserve our sources of life for future generation also.

Yes you are right my friend we need to pay attention to this aspect very seriously. We are very careless when it comes to water or electricity. We get water for free thats why we dont care for it. We will know its true value when the times comes and we will have to pay for it. Water is the most important thing in this world and we should understand that. And again electricity is produced from non renewable source of energy mostly. So in the future when they run out, at that time we will not get any electricity. Then we will understand its value.

Before, when I was younger.. I don't really care for things like these but when I started working, I realized how important it is to save electricity and water! Because every single things counts.
I used to laugh at my grandpa before when he start to turn off the lights while we're watching TV and unplug the refrigerator when everyone's about to sleep or turn off the TV when the show are not that good. Now, I understand why did my grandpa did all those! :)

We should really save these resources as much as possible not only because these things are expensive but because these things might not be available anymore in the future for our children.

You are absolutely right.We have been suffering from acute shortage of power.And shortage of water is a universal problem.It is our duty to save electricity of both the resources.We in our family have made it a point not to waste electricity and water.We don't have coolers and AC.Whenever we come out of room,we switch off all lights and fans.Also we water plants by spraying water.

You have very good habit roshigo, proud of you. There are lack of people like you. I normally do the same since I am very scared to have my house burnt down by some electrical problem, and I check on the gas as well. I do check water also as I want to save water. Though my intention and your intention differ, but we are working towards one direction which leads to saving these limited resources. good job

When I was still living in my parents' place, I am not too conscious of water and energy conservation. Now that I am living on my own, I became more sensitive about this. Not just because it affects my bills considerably but I also learned that these resources are exhaustible. I began caring about the environment and hopefully this way I may be able to contribute to limit my carbon emission. Good thing for you you've really been practicing this for awhile now.

Your habit and consciousness are good. This behavior does be our duty and responsibility. I think I should learn from you to pay more attention to save electricity and water. It will not only concern about saving, but also about safety. I guess.
