I think i'm in love

Just a question if he wasn't getting engaged would you still feel the same way about him? Have you guys ever tried dating or has this just been a friendship for 13 years? I almost feel girls and guys tend to like someone more if they are taken. If you are really serious about being in love with him you need to let him know. I know this was posted a month ago and would like to know if you still have the same feeling or if you did tell him about your feelings.
