North grid failure

We are too much depends of electricity. With it life is hard one. We are facing here problem of power from last three days. It is because of North power grid failure. Sunday night to Monday midday we face here black our situation. Today also grid falild at 1 PM and power came back at 5.30. Share your experience like it.

Cut off electricity in times of
varying and affect the daily life
which we live, although this time
is what makes me feel
reassured and psychological

Here in our country there's black out in some parts due to this storm.
Here in metro city, randomly we experienced 4-6 hours of black out since Sunday due to the storm.
Today our area experienced black out from 3-8pm and I am glad it's back that soon.

I was just reading about the electrical power crises in India. It reveals a major problem in mankind's way of life. As you rightly state, we are too dependent on electricity provided through single systems.
Some years back, where I live, we had a major ice storm that knocked out our electricity in January, the coldest month of the year where temperatures are way below freezing. I had to survive about a week without any heat or lights. I survived but it was horrible. I had to sleep with a coat and ski pants.
There has to be a better way and there is but greed stands in the way!
