500 catches in International Cricket

Another player another record and its broken always. What dhoni created yesterday is 500 catches the most by any fielder and the most by any wicket keeper. More than what .Adam Gilchrist has achieved. What would he acquire in future 1000 catches.

Dhoni will not able become most catch taker of all times because MARk BOUCHER is almost twice then him with 998 catches. so i feel he will settle as 2nd player for highest number of catch takers in the world.. If it is second also it is also a good record to hold by indian cricketer.

Lol did he had so much catches in One day internatinal alone, then dhoni won't be able to match him up in terms of matches they played and MB will remain greatest like Jonty Rodes.

With the increase in the number of matches being played, it is but a matter of time before some one overcomes him. But these kind of records can only go to wicket keepers as they are best placed to take catches behind the wicket. That is why Dhoni takes the record from Gilli and so on. Cheers! Ram

Earlier Jonthy Rodes used to have highest catches because of his fielding ability, later taken over by Gilli and now Dhoni

I think it is good for Dhoni to reach 500 catches. I think it is good for Dhoni is one of the best wicketkeeper. I think now a days cricket players play more cricket than anyone. I think it is good to achieve milestones and records.

With the amount of cricket that India plays, 1000 catches is also possible. I am not taking anything away from M.S.Dhoni, he is great behind the stumps.

I think he now will, and need not focus much as bowler need to just help him to get those easy catches. And now the number of matches that he plays he would broke some great records.

I also think that Dhoni should go for more records and most probably he should reach more and more records. I think it is good to see lots of records being set by the cricket players.
