Brazil has to be Olympic Champion now?

Today, Uruguay is also out of Olympics game. It was a surprise, especially because they have Suarez in their team. With Spain and Uruguay out, do you think if Brazil don't win this competition will be a big disappointment? Or do you see some other team that is also favorite to win?
I'm a Brazilian, so, I can't say much, because, for me, of course will be a big disappointment, it will be a shame. Brazil have no excuse to finally win the only title that our country didn't win.

Brazil has to be the super red hot favorite now to win the gold medal with the crashing out of the other more fancied teams. But they have got to take the lessons why Spain and Uruguay were knocked out, or they may potentially meet the same fate. There have been many upsets and it will happen again.

Brazil almost went to the same path that Spain and Uruguay. It was a tough game to watch and I honestly was expecting a easy win against Honduras, but Neymar didn't do almost anything and Brazil's goalkeeper is so bad, it's sad that the titular goalkeeper had been cut of the olympics games.

Good that the Africans teams are out, because Brazil always had problems to defeat them. Well, as a brazilian, I really hope you are wrong!

I would think that irrespective of these teams still being in the tournament, Brazil would have been the favorite. But now that these teams and Team GB last night also went out, now the Brazilian chances are very very good. But I would also love to see one of the Asian teams probably winning the medal, but I must admit that Brazil is the over-whelming favorite.

I saw the GB semifinal and I thought both teams not that good, maybe they were very nervous. In my opinion, if Brazil players do they best, no one can beat this team in the Olympics, but unfortunately they are not showing her best (maybe one or two players..the defense that should be good is giving too many chances for the others team), so, I will not be surprised if they lose (but I really hope not!!).

Team Brazil has a great chance to win the gold for the olympic but they should never underestimate the other team. The other team may come up with new strategies or ways to beat them up. They should still treat the other team as hindrance for them, as long as they have not won the gold. Although other great team such as Spain and Uruguay was out of the game, There are still many teams to beat. We as football fan, is hoping for their win. Go Team Brazil Go go go go !!! ...

Yep..probably all the teams that will play against Brazil now will play a lot in defensive..I hope Brazil find a way to surpass this and not only wait for a big move of Neymar. I only watch the Brazil's matches, the first two of Spain and Uruguay, don't know if have any team that are the big surprise. What team do you think is the best after Brazil?

I think that they were clear favourites once Spain got knocked out. Great Britain are playing well at the moment and with home advantage it should be a great semi-final if both teams get through.

Brazil suffered, but passed to the semifinals. I'm really worried about the semifinals, because Brazil only played "well" against BLR. The others games were not good, especially today's game against Honduras that is, in theory, a team that should not have given so much work for Brazil.

I really hope so! If they win, Mano Menezes will finally win something decent for Brazil's team and probably will work with less pressure to World Cup. I think that never existed a more favorable Olympics to Brazil win the title.

t seems that this year's Olympics will be the favorite team champion Brazil for another, namely Spain and Uruguay had to lift their luggage early, they must be willing to lose in the beginning babk. This is a great advantage for Brazil. That will be a formidable opponent brazil only remaining United Kingdom only. But if they remain consistent with their performance I'm sure Brazil will get an Olympic gold.

I didn't saw a Great Britain match yet, but I definitely will watch on saturday because it can be the Brazil's opponent in the semifinals.

You do not see the game the United Kingdom, just to know. Great Britain will be strong competition for Brazil, and now the calculation was that if Brazil get past United Kingdom then Brazil would win the gold medal Olympic games, and it is a natural thing. Because of all the contestants Olympic men's soccer team is Brazil's most flashy in terms of the squad.

I saw the team of Brazil on TV two days ago. I only saw the review, but I have seen a very good team with good players. If Brazil continues playing in that way, I think they can win the championship. Although in football there are surprises. I haven't seen the others teams yet, so I have no idea how strong they are.

I haven't seen all the games too, only Brazil's, Spain and Uruguay matches..for what I see so far, Brazil is the best team by far, but like you said, soccer have so many surprises..
