It just shows that you're still on his list of friends and he still wants to inform you that if you wish to get in touch with him, this is his updated contact information. Why be touchy about it? You can just save his new number on your phone and need not send back a reply message. At least if in the future you want to get in touch with him again, you can do so right?

If you don't feel like answer, don't do it then. I have bunch of friends who were very good friends at the past. Now we see each other very rare, but we had great times together, so I believe the friendship is alive. Now I haven't seen one of my co-workers since at least 2 years. Last summer when she got back to our country, I was in another city. Now she wrote me at skype and told me that this month she is coming back so she wants all of our team to meet again. I will do my best to get back to my home town and meet them all. We were so so close to each other. I miss having so good friends. Friendship is alive, doesn't matter if you see each other every day.

No dear bulastika,if your friend send this message to you means his still know you and still take you as his friend,I think just without disconnect about several months is very common cause everyone in this society is quite busy,I have some friends disconnect for a few years but for some reasons we still will contact each other and will feel awkward,can build up a friendship is not easy so I think you should not just let it go,so ,just to reply.

hi bulastika, This happened to me I save their number but I don't bother to reply or whatsoever specially if they don't want to communicate with me. Maybe it's a send to all message that's why but it means your friend still keep your number. happy mylotting
