I smoke and I smoke one pack a day but sometimes I hate other smokers who don't know proper etiquette on how to smoke. I hate people who smoke inside cinema. I do smoke but some people don't so don't smoke in cinema. I hate people smoke when we are eating. I know in restaurant theirs a smoking and none smoking section. But I hate when we are eating someone in our table smoke simply because he finish eating. If he want to smoke then he should stand up and smoke outside or wait for all of us to finish eating before smoking. How about you guys?

I don't smoke and never will . Nobody should smoke because this habit is bad for your body . That can kill you slowly but surely .

I do smoke because its my habit. I do smoke even if I'm alone so in short I don't smoke just to be social or cool. I smoke because its my habits and even if no one is watching I do smoke. Anyway. I'm migrating to Canada and I'm hoping that if I migrate I will stop smoking.

Hi, I used to smoke to be social, and now I must leave most social situations to smoke. I do wish I had never started.

Really, people smoke inside the cinema??? Thank god that is not allowed here. That is so rude. In restaurants and bars, people aren't allowed to smoke anymore where I live, and I'm very happy about it. But a couple of months ago I was having dinner in a restaurant when this woman asked if she could smoke and she was given permission. I was breathing in the smoke while I was eating and I just couldn't enjoy my dinner anymore. I think everyone should always smoke outside. I don't have a problem with people who smoke, that's their problem and I'm not the one to tell them they can't. But smokers should keep other people in mind when smoking. They should go outside, away from non-smokers. I also hate it when people smoke on their bicyles. This doesn't happen that often, but when I'm right behind them, I'm inhaling all the smoke directly. I always try to pass them when this happens. The same things goes for when I'm walking down the street.

Lols. In cheap cinemas who cares?! lols. But of course in high end cinema's its not allowed. But even in high end restaurant theirs always a smoking section. And even in malls theirs a designated area for smokers. But I don't try that. I don't smoke in smoker area because I can't almost breath because the room is close like an aquarium and all that you can see are just smoke. lols.

I do not smoke, and I do not mind if a smoker does so in private because it's their health and they bear the full consequences of their actions. But what I totally hate about certain smokers are their non-caring attitude when they smoke in public places like restaurants and enclosed areas (especially air-conditioned). Some of these smokers even have the cheek to just puff the smoke right in your direction and think that it's OK and that I am actually enjoying the smell of the smoke. I don't know whether they are aware that second hand smoke is harmful when inhaled and the consequences can be as bad as smoking itself. How inconsiderate can these people be, putting other people's health at risk when these innocent people choose not to smoke? Sometimes I really just want to give people like these a telling off and a tight slap, but judging by their ignorant behaviour, I would assume they are probably aggressive too and I wouldn't want to put myself in further danger if I do that. I normally show a sulky and dissatisfied face to such people, but normally to no avail. If I really cannot stand such people anymore, I try to change seats or in a worst case scenario, leave the place and go to another.

Why not ask the waiter to tell that person that you do mind if he smokes. Don't ruin your day simply because someone is smoking. Let that smoker leave not you. I do smoke also and I smoke one to two packs a day. But I make sure that I only smoke if I'm in open space. If I'm in restaurant I usually go to parking area to smoke. I don't smoke or eat in smoking area even if I smoke. Its because I can't enjoy eating if I'm eating while somebody is smoking. Beside I went to restaurant to eat not to smoke.

HI Bulastika, I used to be a smoker and smoked heavily for few years. I used to smoke about 20 to 30 cigs a day. Even when I used to smoke I never smokes inside of house or in a room, also I never smoked in front of females or elders. I was fully aware not everyone likes the second hand smoke coming out of my mouth or nostrils. Now that I have given up smoking about 2 years back, I feel nausea when someone smoke in my vicinity. I dont hate smokers, Just now I hate smoke.

Its seems you stop smoking already. That's good. Me I tried to stop but its seems I have hard time stopping my bad habit. I do smoke one pack or less a day. But I want to stop smoking when the time come. I know its really frustrating when someone is smoking in front of you and you can't breath. I really hate those who smokes in a close space or crowded space. I do smoke but I make sure that I'm in open space and smoke alone or with other smokers.

I am very much moved and I appreciate your smoking ettiquette to others. Actually you are very sensible and sensitive enough to figure out others disadvantages or resentments while our or some one's smoking. Im a chain smoker lol and smoke about a pack a day. But I hate smoking is a nasty practice enough to create others disgust or discomfort. I think smoking is a liver crusher and it kill us every seconds and finish us one day so before our normal lifetime. Yet one kind of non sense acts behind my sticking to smoking. Im trying to leave it and already I lessened the frequencies of puffing. Anyway atleast I have the sensivity for not smoking cigs in public places like hotels, restaurants, bus or train stations, shops, inside vehicles, markets, sports fields or in any peoples assembly or gatherings. I have to discovery in where I should smoke and not creating suffocating or harmful enviroments or situations. My country has passed a code concerning smoking in public places. If an individual smokes in a public place he or she must be fined taka 50 instantly and must be realised instantly. But now the law enforcers is quite loose in action. I would request all respectable mylotters not to smoke and to enjoy the fragrance of flowers. You all stay fine!!!

I'm a chain smoker also. Smoke one to two packs a day. But that usually I smoke hard at night when I'm in the gimmick. Right now that I'm just staying home with no work. I smoke half a pack to one pack a day. But I'm planning to stop smoking. But I guess its going to take time since right now smoking is only my way of stress relieving. A very bad habit to relieve my stress. lols.

Smoking is a very bad habit and very dangerous too. For chain smookers cancer will come. I shocked one day when seeing one girl smoking with her friend in bus stop (Chennai). Where chennai is going. It is too bad..

It's frustrating but its really a hard habit to stop. Some can stop smoking right away. Others can't. I think I can stop smoking if I have good reason to. The only reason I smoke is to relax as I'm full of stress right now. I'm hoping that their will come a day in which I can stop smoking and not feeling stress because I stop smoking.

I don't smoke and I am also against people who smoke in public places. Whenever I ride in jeepneys, there are signs that says "no smoking allowed" but I still see some passengers smoking.

You can ask them to stop smoking if they persist you can report them to Police or MMDA but problem is that this ordinance is widely ignored by many and even the law enforcers are reluctant to pursue this ordinance. Its because majority of the smokers are also those who use public transportation every day.

Even in public transportation and other public places. There are people who are really inconsiderate of others. They will smoke in front of you and imagine my smell when I got to the office. Better stop that bulastika, because it will not do any good for you. Have a nice day!

I smoke occasionally, (during parties, etc.) but it's never been a regular hobby for me, and I also hate to see someone who doesn't have the discipline where to smoke, there's a proper place and they should consider other people especially non-smokers. I get irritated by that. :)

I tried to quit many times before but I can't stop. I guess smoking is my stress reliever. I guess if I going to find a good job and earning good and those not have any worries I will not going to have any smoking problem. I want to quit also but this is my stress reliever.

I am not a smoker. But I also think that smokers should be mindful of other people while they are smoking. Especially when in a public place, it is really irritating when they know that not everyone is smoking even when they see people doing the gesture to cover their noses they just do not care. I just hope that they'll be more mindful.

I do not smoke and I do not see the point in smoking because I have tried once and besides the "cool" factor that you see yourself as, there is nothing worthwhile when you smoke.

I'm a smoker, too, and I agree that there are way too many inconsiderate smokers. I'm always very careful about not lighting up where there are non-smokers nearby. After all, why should they breathe my smoke? I have two young sons, and neither my husband or I smoke in the house. I do smoke in the car, but never when they are with me. Even outside or when we go to play at the park I am careful not to smoke near them or any other children. Where I live smoking is banned in the movie theaters, restaurants, and even bars. And at our local hospitals you now can't even smoke anywhere on hospital property (Which I think is a little much, especially since so many visitors there are stressing out about a loved one who is a patient. I had to walk across the parking lot and across the street last year when my father was having surgery. I was so stressed I needed one). I am glad that no one can smoke in restaurants now; even as a smoker I've always hated eating when someone is smoking near me. I'm not quite ready to quit, but I know I should at least cut down (recently I've been smoking just over a pack a day--yikes!)

I don't smoke and I mind if people smoke in front of me. I'm lucky that in my country, people are quite considerate and would go to somewhere private to have a smoke. So I don't see many people smoking in public or in the cinemas or restaurants.

Smoking is bad to health but I do smoke. But I make sure that I smoke alone in open corridor and I don't smoke when theirs children around and if I have children I will not going to advice them to smoke. If I have my ways I want to quit smoking also. But I been smoking for more than 20 years now that's why I have hard time stop smoking.
