Anyone else have this rule? I get sick of picking up wrappers, plates, and fuzzy surprises. The biggest culprit is the husband it drives me batty. Always snacking in bed, crackers, dinner, cereal... omg! I get to pick it up or it wouldn't get taken care of. The kids rarely eat in their room and they get an earful when caught too Are there rooms in your house you don't allow food in?

I don't mind eating in the bedroom, since I'm a pretty 'neat' eater, and if anything crumbles or gets messy otherwise, I clean it up practically immediately (after eating or sooner, depending on the type of mess).

We love staying in our bedroom, the whole day, sometimes. And, that includes dining time. We would bring food upstairs and eat in the room together. Yes, it would be quite messy, and I'm their slave, so I have to clean up after them. The only thing I restrict them from doing is to eat on the bed, itself. I don't like to feel bits of their food on the sheets.

That's also my husband's rule!Don't eatin the bedroom. Who are the culprits? Me and my son. Haha. My hubby is so irritable when we eat in the bedroom especially when we are watching some movies. I clean it afterwards but he still gets angry when we eat inside. I guess we have to discipline ourselves so that there will be no nagging anymore. Happy myLotting.

Our children are always supposed to eat and drink at the dining room table, but that definitely doesn't mean that it always happens this way. There are a lot of times that I will catch them with food in the office or in the living room and they do get told about it because they don't seem to know how to put their dirty dishes into the sink or their trash in the can. I don't like eating in the bedroom either because of the fact that it causes crumbs in the bed and that is something that drives me absolutely nuts. However, my husband seems to think that the rules only apply to the children because he is a full grown adult and that does mean that he can make his own decisions for himself.

We eat snacks in the bedroom, while we watch sitcoms on the computer. It was cool at first, but after a while it got a way too heavy for me to go and clean after a movie night. And now when we have a puppy, it's more difficult, because it sleeps with us in bed, so it asks for anything we eat there. My boyfriend never clean after himself. I am trying to make such rule, but I myself enjoy really much when we have a movie with snacks.

We do not allow day to day eating in the living room. We have good furniture in there and do not want it to get ruined. Eating in the computer room is our biggest vice, and but things do not tend to get fuzzy in here. We have never eaten in our bedrooms. Even when I had an apartment in college.

When I was a boy, I was taught not to eat inside the bedroom. Bedroom is a place for us to rest and we shall maintain it clean all of the while. If a bedroom is full with ants, lizards, cockroaches and many other insects, I do not think anyone of us can rest or sleep well inside this room. Of course. it is very tire to clean a place so frequent. As such, we must have a habit to eat at a right place especially not inside the bedroom.

hi 3snuggle! wow your kids follow the rule but your hubby rarely follow the rule, any way for us in the house we don't usually eat in the room because we don't want to be bitten by the ant or any insects especially if the rapper's are in the bed try to talk to your husband and explain to him the possibilities if you didn't see the rappers you will be bitten by the insects.

I really do try not to but usually I cannot contain myself so I do it anyway. I hate crumbs and seeing wrappers and empty bottles all over my room. I prefer to be reasonably tidy and one thing I cannot stand is ants! I hate when there is an ant infestation in my room, because ants are terrible annoying! Still food is good and for those couple of seconds of satisfaction, it is entirely worth it!

I don't. I eat in the bedroom... but I always clean it up. I just like snacking in fron of the TV, watching a film... and sometimes I'm just lazy and comfortable. Also, I work online in shift work, and I have to get something to eat during that time (6-8 hours), but I can't lose any time, because it's a continuous job.

I can't agree more that we shouldn't eat in the bedroom. I like eating in my room and stay in my bed. Sometimes I lost some foods in my bed and then there are a lot of insects. Oh, it is too terible.

I also have these rules. And if any of my siblings or husband did snuck in some food inside their bedrooms, they better not let me find it any trace of it or else. I told them I do not mind as long as they clean up. But more often than not they don't. So now, it's a no food zone in the bedrooms.

Yes, I don't allow them to eat in the bedroom. My only daughter used to do that especially when she is reviewing late at night for examinations. I scolded her and she didn't do it again.

We don't have a rule saying what rooms you can't and can't have food in, in my house. Most of the time we eat in the living around anyways. We are free to eat where very we would like to eat that is how my parents had and that is how I have. We do pick up after ourselves so there is no worry about me picking up after anyone. You make it you eat it you pick up the trash for it.

My husband and I also had this rule that were not allowed to in bedroom because we afraid to have ants, cockroaches and other insects in our bedroom that can bite us afterwards. Also our bedroom is very private place in our home and need only for sleeping and doing other stuff for married couple not a eating place. We have also rules that if were going to eat in living room we need to used plate-mat and picked all the dropped foods, wrappers and clean in up after eating or else one of us will get mad. We dont have yet a kids but we better to start to us early this attitude so that if kids comes in the future, they will also follow the rules like we do.
