What you ought have done?

Do you put on a list what you want to do to keep track of what else you still want to do or still want to achieve? I have a thought I want to share... There'll be the girl you never took the chance to express your feelings Or the live concert you missed your favorite artist singing There'll be the love ones you never got to say the words Words "I love you" from you they never heard. There'll be the literary you thought of for years never been written Or the sight that took your breath away in a picture never been taken There'll be the best-selling novel you never got to read Or the role in a play you never got to lead. There'll be the brilliant instructor whose class you never took Or the simple pleasures in life you have overlooked There'll be the wonderful places you never got to go Or the opportunity to reconcile with your foes. There are things in life when you're young, you ought have done When you're old, you regret that you didn't take the chance So while you're at it, do what you like to be done To keep the list short when you're old, the things you ought have done. I do have a list and to be honest it is quite long. I am not young but I have started crossing out some. How about you?

i don't make a list 'coz i hate to fail myself. Yes, there are always things that made me think and somehow wished i've done. One is, I wish I could have made my father happier when he was with us. I just felt I should have done many things to made him feel loved before he was gone. I still miss him :(

I know the feeling. I have been through the same phase and I realized that some things can never be undone and sometimes we need to be reminded how precious life is and it won't wait. Thank you.

we all have our what-ifs in our lives. but don't you think it is pointless to dwell on those what-ifs in life? aside from sentimental reasons, the exercise of remembering those missed moments can be done in the hope of being conscious and aware of those missed choices and options. in this way, we lessen our frustrations in life.

Yes we do. It is pointless to focus on frustrations. So while young or alive do what you can do and do what makes you happy.

i don't have such list and i never thought having one. i can pause for a while and think of those things i wish i did but that would only take a moment then i've got to move on. besides, i can do nothing about it since it's already done. so why not live your life now and try not to add another thing in that list:)
